LMAO NOOO I used refs my friend
Even then bro
My tattoo muse is Russell Tattoo, he works out of Atlanta. And then I used lighting references
Not Atlanta. Close to Atlanta though
LMAO skin is an incredible canvas
I can't paint on cloth canvas worth anything but skin is a whole different ballgame. I think it's easier.
I could never find the words to express how much talent it takes bro
It itches my brain so much
This is my most recent pieceeee
I meant to respond to that but that one is so good too ðŸ˜
It's about being a lifelong learner and never settling for stagnation. I've only been doing this for a couple years, it just takes practice and dedication!
But at the same time you have to be comfortable in your own space yk, comparison is the thief of joy in art and when you're trying to improve as a tattooer it's kinda twofold because you also need to pay your bills. You can lose your spark and your touch on your own pieces if you don't leave room for yourself and instead seek out replicating another artist's work
If I wasn’t so eeked by needles I would love to do what you do
Or if I was any good at art
Ahh you don't even really see the needles! It's not an injection, it's more like a siphoning system like how a dog drinks water
The needles are solid, not hollow
I'll take a picture hold on
This one looks a little scary because it's big but this is 15 individual needles soldered together. It's called a magnum or a mag, it's used normally for packing or shading a large area
And I use cartridges, but there's also needle on bar which has the same needle grouping like that but it's on a literal metal bar. What needle type you use depends on your machine
The ink sits in that clear resevoir and the needles just drive the ink into the skin through friction. The needles aren't supposed to go very deep either, just to the second layer of your skin. A couple mm.
