tips for working around the 3 layer cap it has for free mode:

  1. Color under the line art
  2. Any layer that is finished merge with the layer below it. Minus lineart layer
  3. Once done, save as png and open a new document with png

optional: make lineart layer to soft-light + clipping

workaround 2: delete the app and reinstall before coloring. Try the 7 day free trial since it allows for multiple layers. pretty sure it resets after reinstalling the app.
