@formal lichen Your idea looks great, I liked it, but I think you can improve it a bit more.

Example, if you look for a real globe, you can see a space between it and the arc, and like Maud said, you can add shade on it to make it looks more "real".

And about feedback, this is a good beginning, but I think you can improve that shirt a bit more.
Add more shade on it, and more details on the collar.
The shirt sleeve looks a bit strange in some points, it should follow the arm anatomy (I can explain my point of view better if you need)

About your avatar, I can see you are using outlines, they aren't allowed, so please, avoid using them 👀
The mouth looks a bit up for me, but can be just my point of view (you can use guide lines for that).
The shirt looks simple but good, however it needs more shade.

I really liked the hair, it looks natural and vivid, you did a great work on it ^^
I don't if it's my point of view, but I feel like there's some shine in the hair missing, it's just my opinion.

The eyes look wonderful, I liked the colors. These ornaments in her face, is this together with the eyes? If yes, there's 5 items in total.

The mouth looks great too, but the teeth are looking a bit strange for me 🤔
I saw some tiny details on it, be careful with that.

The necklace is beautiful, but there is tiny details too. If a detail is too small, it could be invisible in the avatar.

The shirt looks simple, but great, I liked the little butterfly on it and the colors that you used. I suggest you to improve the chest line, it looks a bit weird 🤔

Summaring, you did a great work on it, keep it ^^

About the hat suggestion, yes, you can use something related to butterflies or stars

I love the detail on the eyes and the lips :))

eyes maybe a bit too crossed, maybe move each eyeball to the left / right slightlyy at bit more (maybe this is just my personal opinion)
