it is allowed, dont worry. just make bigger blocks of colors I guess. when ur design go in game, u need to transfer file to .svg file. designers who can do tracing find it very time consuming to trace all layers of colors so fake gradients arent recommended

the female one. the darker brown stripes signifies when there is a braid. it does not connect with the outside of the hair and make it still look like a braid. i made it just by using small shapes in a darker color than the hair and the turning the opacitiy down

In base of what i did, you should create a monocolour base and then add slightly lighter and darker shades, that can be thick or not as long as it doesn't look like an outline, there are a lot of hairstyles you can do, just use your fantasy🥰
