I feel like people take the 'no gradient' thing too far. It's just very slightly blended makeup, I think it's more for shading/highlighting etc. Just my thoughts. The games original outfits use more gradients than that.

Yeah well there are some vector apps that are able to create gradient so that not really an issue

My point being, the term gradient does not have a solid definition - it’s up to the perception of the viewer on whether or not they think it’s smooth enough to be gradient or not
You can’t say you need at least 20 different colors and it becomes a gradient, and anything less isn’t soft enough

I know i have no say in this, but it really doesnt look like a gradient. Just because it isnt a cell shaded thing doesnt automatically make it smudge shading. I think that its lovely and yes, made clearer it may have a higher chance of getting into the game but i also think it deserves a chance. Its very well done compared to some of the stuff ive seen.

My point is, you can have red to blue. With 5 differing shades between. That’s not gradient, right? But if you have 100 shades in between it is a gradient. There’s no definition that says at which point it becomes a gradient or stays cascading

A gradient doesn't depend on the pixels. Ofc it is not gradient if you zoom in so you see every Pixel. Pixel programs use pixels which will be visible ofc. I use vector tho but I can tell you that, even if you may did not plan to use it, it is gradient. I will stop now tho
