Secondly, what's bothering me about the male shirt is that it's a tad off in terms of symmetry, especially on the ruffles part, i'd mirror that part a tad more accurately, to make sure it looks same on both sides and not that uneven.

To the hair the same; just gi for right light and pay attention to the vertex and how the strands flow
