Classic wolf colors, alright! 💜 I think with the colorful background you've chosen, you'll be perfectly fine going with classic colors! The paws are amazing. I'd take some inspiration from a few of the paws already in-game! Generally, the fur is the flat colored area and then the claws and pawpads are the area with shine and texture, to distract the viewer from the non-textured fur. These aren't the best quality, but I could always send you the high-res ones if you want!

Hello! I really like your design, especially the little white freckles; it goes really well with the hair style. However, I do think you should add a few more pieces of hair so that the hair looks more fluffy. Also the clothes are outlined; just take the outlines in and in some of the spots outlined, you may want to replace it with shading. Another idea you might like is adding maybe a collar to the shirt. I drew some of the edits I spoke about so you could understand just in case my way of explaining is confusing. (You of course draw at your own discretion and my lines aren't perfect but I think you get the idea lol.) Good luck ! 😊🧡

You should try using clipping layers so it’s easier to color things in! The hair also has an outline from where you used a fill bucket but it didn’t fill completely so remember to clean that up

Ahh, this is so gorgeous, just like the actual skin! 🥺💜 I love the stitching and how you lined all of the facial features up to match! Each side is beautiful and bold enough to stand out on their own! I can't wait for the actual colors, I think it'll help add more contrast. 💜

As for the blood (tears?), instead of letting it drop, it may work better with the realistic elements in the whole design if you shorten the stream and add individual drops. Even letting a drop or two slide down the snout and then drip off the nose would work! I just love how you combined realism and cartoony elements in the overall design and the main part of the grave, so it would make sense to do the same with those tears.

Ooh, see, I personally think that's beautifully done! It's a more realistic way to treat the tears. You could combine that with shorter tears dripping off the sides of the face and a few longer ones coming off of the snout so they're all more spread out.

What’s necessary:
-Outlines (such as the black lines on the hair) aren’t allowed unfortunately
-And neither are true gradients (as you’ve used on the shading in the hair as well)

Optional
-make the background more symmetrical? It’s a bit heavy on the left side
-Typically eyes are not added if the reflections are flipped, the iris/pupils need to be the same and not reflected
-Lower the eyes a tiny bit, they’re a bit further up than most of the WOV eyes

I’ll honestly make them smaller because other players and I usually buy the skins because of the eyes / mouth , but as always there are exceptions.

I feel the hair looks a bit like fake gradient, I feel the shading of the female version looks a bit more natural in the second version so you could have a look at that. Some lines appear a bit wobbly to me, e.g. there is a brown dot below the male versions hair on the left side.

You’re welcome! Tbh I struggle to see the difference in the eyes 👀 I usually mind it being mirrored but don’t see much of an issue here. The hair looks still a bit as if you could try some more shading. I feel it’s a design choice though, compared to the previous version it does look a bit more bold in terms of a thicker hair structure.
And I didn’t mention I like the lips! They also seem to match your colour scheme

I'm a cat gal myself but it's true that there's not enough dog skins (compared to the cats'). Last month my clan and I were doing a themed lobby about dogs and we complained there were nothing to wear haha Do it for the people!!

Thank you!! I have tried digital art before but I'm 100% a newbie haha for example I would try drawing on my cellphone before but it's so frustrating I quit. The glasses go look unique! I’d be careful not to put the green triangle part too high to not cut it from any potential hat item that’s on the layer on top.

I feel currently the hair looks a bit as if it’s three different sections of hair that don’t blend in together much, I am not sure that is intended. Maybe more shading could help.

I like the area and little details near the bottoms of the short, that’s nicely done! If suggest to try experiment on the shirt with a few less straight lines if that might help.

Background item: I feel you could shade those bones a little more. Yes, some backgrounds ingame have things flooding around but most don’t so I am not 100% sure with that.
Shirt: Looks really cool, I’d probably shade it an inch more, it’s a strong start already! About the colour: some lines here aren’t even and that doesn’t appear to be intended. But also that’s looking super closely.
Mouth: Is the nose part of the mouth? I am not 100% sure that’s WOV style but it does look super interesting! Did you see it the sizing / placement fits?
Eyes: They are currently mirrored which imo is very apparent and hence not ideal. I’d also try to see if a slightly smaller brush for the eyelashes could help.
Hair: It currently reminds me a bit of a lions haircuts 🦁, you could try to make smaller hair sections and shade a bit, maybe with a third colour?
Front item: Just as the Backofen that seems to be in the air and that’s not always to ideals. Usually you should rather avoid bands and I am not sure that’s paws or paw biscuits but maybe you find a way to incorporate it differently? Maybe a front item more on the right could work since that’s where the shirt has less details?
Overall: I think the idea is super cute and I‘m looking forward to see the development of the skin! I tend to zoom in a lot / look very closely, since you’re the artist — feel free to just decline whatever you feel doesn’t work.

Anytime! I agree with the mouth being one part. I feel you could do balls by first starting to make them more round using different oval shades and once you did that, only then try to put the paw design on them using the round forms? Those lines actually also look a bit wobbly (paw-balls). Maybe you could put those bones or paws in a dog snack drawer or so? I‘m sure you‘ll come up with a good idea.

And I want to make something clear, you said you promise you‘ll make it better. You don’t design for me, you design for yourself and what you’re doing is awesome! All I do is give an opinion and you choose what of that works for you and helps and what not. That’s pretty important

• As mentioned before, my hair used to lack shading so I tried my best to use bolder colors and shade more! I even tried some highlights this time!!
• I'm Afraid the eyes are very mirrored this time, does someone know how to fix this?
• I did a inspired french gothic stained glass (love them), but I think it lacks some highlights. Is it just me?

Blood is a shade from dark brown to red, more there is blood more it's thicker and darker in the center, the light shouldn't be a white. The way it goes out of the mouth doesn't looks like a liquid, maybe look for reference in already in game skins?

Ohh thank you for helping me! I actually didn't know about that when drawing blood. I will search the name of a in game skin with blood in mouth/ blood in a more realistic form to reference from... I can only remember the red calendar one (I love this one, I even bought it!!). There's a crown there with blood on it but it's a different purpose (it's supposed to be dried blood on hair I believe) so I can't actually learn from that. Anyway, thank you for you help and advice!!

Hii! I'm also new to this, but what've learned so far:

• please read the document on what should/shouldn't have on a skin. You can find it on the pinned messages here.
• All the pinned messages here are actually helpfull! you can find the base avatar there too (someone even put the link today)
• I don't know if you already have an preferred app, but inkscape is a good one to use! Regardless of what app you use, learning a bit about it will help you do better (Only yesterday I took time to actually learn about the app I was using and it has helped me a lot than just intuitively trying it out! there plenty tutorials on internet if you need.)
• we obviously can't copy things but you can reference a lot on pinterest! I find the pictures there better than the ones we would find on google images. for example yesterday I didn't know how to draw blood so I saw few pictures on there to help me).
• always ask for feedback here or on another place! It's so helpfull to have others give their opinions, they will help you realize things you couldn't before. I am always psoting here (almost way too much lol) but it has really helped me a lot!
• trust the process!

Now a very personal one that may not help you, but I find it easier to make them with shapes (the bezier tool) rather than a pencil!

I know most of those are a bit cliché but that's what have helped me :DD
