I guess the main reasons is, bc the skin was a bp submission but got rejected (not even added as clan quest). Lots of people were hyped to see the skin in the bp, but became Sad/ disappointed since this wasn’t the case. At this point everyone thought that this skin will never be in game, but surprise surprise now we got it

Another reason is that all designer have an own and unique art style (certain way to draw hair, shade things etc). For most of the skins you can even tell only based on the eyes which designer made the skin.
Some skins look like “copy and paste” (e.g male and female skin look too similar), others are more individual but still coherent.

Nighty for example has a more „mature“ style which is very different compared to the cute/ kawaii style which most of the skins in game have.
Especially her eyes/ mouth are standing out (lots of eyes in game are big/ round, just kawaii in my opinion). The designs are bold and even if she doesn’t shade everything the design still doesn’t look flat. E.g her hair usually has only two colours, but due to the way how she draws it, it still looks voluminous.

• The male and female version look individual. Often you have the same bg for both versions, the same shirt just slightly changed or even exactly the same items just in different colours. This isn’t the case for nighty. Only very few items are used in both versions (for this one the only returning elements are the headphones and the skeletons in the bg).
  These are some reasons why Nightys art style is popular among the player base.

Many people have a favourite designer (or more), because they really like the designs or the designer themselves (maybe even become friends). That’s why they want to support them and are super hyped when their designs get added to the game.
