This suggestion was put in the pinned "HOW TO USE FEEDBACK" thread (found here #1339300394899341492 message) and seemed to be liked by others (judging by the 8 fire reacts), so I'm sharing it here on behalf of @deep mauve:

"If you could drop bugs and fish for other people, that would be really cool. I found a perfect that I already had and wanted to give it away, but I wasn't able to. Maybe it could only be to your friends so they don't get sniped, but it would be cool to be able to give them away"

Adding on to this suggestion, anything dropped could be marked with text stating it cannot be used to complete quests? It'll allow the sharing of cool items without taking away from a player's own exploration/grinding for said quests:

"This item cannot be used for quests"

Not to be one of those guys, but I feel like the ability to drop items for other players would devalue the purpose of bug catching / fishing / pearl collecting

Yea we want to exchange inventory with other players, but we don't want someone stealing our thing lmao, so it's better to just have an exchange button, the. Choose the items to give
