this isn't a major issue, but it's still an issue that's persisted ever since i joined the server
players always want to use #🎮looking-for-group to chat about their games and it always floods the join codes. it makes it a bit harder to find games and i've seen several mods (especially kaity) remind people time and time again that talking about games should be done in private group chats or in the call chats.
but it seems that a lot of people don't really understand or follow this rule (which makes sense because it just seems convenient to say a quick "ggs" and such in lfg, which i think isn't that bad compared to having entire conversations about games that flood join codes offscreen)
there are probably several good ways to fix this, but my proposal would be pretty simple:
- add slowmode to #🎮looking-for-group (only like 5 minutes would probably be fine but staff can decide what would be best)
- add a new channel directly under #🎮looking-for-group, name it something like looking-for-group-chat (so its extremely easy and obvious for younger players to use this channel instead of the current one), and this will be the channel players are allowed to talk about games in
again i know this isn't a super urgent issue or anything but it's just something small that i've noticed in the few months i've been in this server and i think it would be nice to have a cleaner lfg channel while still allowing players to chat about their games!
