I don’t see Erel doing anything in a bossing scenario that Paladin doesn’t already do better.

How he feels post-200, unfunded so far:
They took a Paladin base, cut utility and iframes by 70%, increased mobility by 30%, and left overall damage output in a similar range. They even effectively play the exact same way.
On the whole, not bad by any means, but definitely uninspired and redundant in the actual mechanics department, even if he’s visually fantastic.

And really, that’s all that important to a new players who aren’t coming in throwing a mortgage at the game. They’re not gonna meaningfully contribute to boss runs for a while anyway, so take what works best for what you need.

Now, someone coming in new right now, with all of the free stuff and the weapon burning on Erel, paired with his farming ability: well, he should be the default new player recommendation for at least the next month and some change.

I would say yes, largely because of his ease of play, and his farming potential is actually really good even BEFORE 200, unlike many classes.
That alone puts him a bit above Sia and Cadena as recommendations, imo.
They also have the early farm, but are overly convoluted to actually get manual play performance out of.

You basically have to burn an iframe to even consider using the skill on actually difficult bosses.
It’s just kinda poorly implemented currently, but easily fixed.
All they have to do is make it port X amount outside of the hitbox and it’s fine.

Erel has literally zero reason to ever be that close to any enemy anyway.

If you’re going to push for Necro, probably start with a tradeable base.
Take the item burning for what it was, a nice, ‘free’ starting point, and use that (maybe even inherit it for giggles) while building a Necro Gram separately.

Biggest thing is, I certainly wouldn’t throw any mastercraft% or fail reductions at an untradeable weapon, personally.

It was mostly into the “cheap” growth crystal packs (like 5-6k crystals for $31 each), which I then dumped into Gapple and pets and sold everything.
Having a 20-30b meso injection is jetfuel for any new player, obviously.

Probably the lightest “baby whaling” I’ve done in any game. I’ve typical spent 2-3x that much in the first week or so in others. Haven’t felt compelled to here though.

Honestly, opening character slots is probably first port of call. I did that and Gapple with the first round of those packs that was available to me when I started.
The pet pulls were this latest reset on those and the Erel specific ones. I want to say I ended up somewhere in the 20B range, from the roughly 40k crystals those packs gave me, just pulling and selling by undercut, not really trying to maximize anything.
No fusing involved. I’m not playing that sucker’s game since I don’t want nor need mag pets right now anyway. The cheap dead end Dream pets give me all I want for the time being and are cheap enough that I’ll throw them away and buy new ones rather than using waters on them.

I merely gave a suggestion that enhance 5 on single node > spread which for erel is true because your damage falls off during bosses during cooldown of burst skill and since you are whaling it would make most sense to enhance 5 burst node. At 25 you would have 30 on burst and reduce cooldown even further without needing to spend 400m+ on nodestones

And hope you get lucky to get burst nodes from those

No sense in spreading cause it costs and tbh minor dmg increase isnt that valuable atp in time nonetheless you didnt post gear so i can assume you are using mythic pensalir gear

On the otherhand you could move your perfect trio to enhance 5 slot as alternative.
