You can get emblems from event gear, but the event gear most likely are account-locked items.

They have an (E) on them, which is harder to repair, and not tradable.

As, if you decide to sell them. You can't.

Event gear is just to get you started.

Not to continue to use them forever.

There are only a couple of ways to get emblem on your equipment.

1. Fusing gear. Minimum, fusing 2 max level epics together. Results in a NEW random item, and random emblem. The chance is VERY very VERY low.

2. Emblem Scrolls - From Event Shops, Gambling/Cash/Crystal 'games" (Golden Apple, And others - I can't think but it'll show up from time to time, you can purchase the scrolls from packages or whenever they sell them for real life cash, OR you can purchase them for mesos from other players in the trade station - which are were obtainable form the gambling/crystal games.

Event gear, you'll eventually get rid of by fusing another item with it. Giving you a new item, in which you may sell in the trade station or whatever you may want to do with it.

You can only fuse 2 items of the same grade and both have to be max level.

I can't say I know the prices, but maybe you're looking at 900m-1b for crit damage emblem or boss atk.

If your emblem jaihan breaks, you'll need a unique restoration scroll - forge -> alchemy -> restoration scroll which requires any unique item. THERE IS ONLY UNIQUE RESTORATION. THERE IS NO LEGENDARY OR HIGHER GRADE. IF YOUR ITEM BREAKS YOU'LL NEED AN EMBLEM TO FIX IT. $$$$ MISTAKE.

Uneqipped mythics can only be obtained through fusing.

If you rank up (with rank up stones), from legendary to mythic, it becomes untradable and you'll need scissors to make it tradable reducing the 10 cuts to 9.

Costs like 2M.

Gets you a unique restoration scroll. That repairs broken unique items.

That's an option, but generally if the unique you're trying to fix is less than 2M, don't go for this option.

Since it's cheaper to buy the unique.

What's a good hp and defense to have to survive sf180?

Not sure what SF180 hits are but based off someone's comment from less than 4 months ago:
"Mixed Uniques/Mythics my DS (Demon Slayer) takes 24k dmg a hit at sf180. At 64k hp and hp7 pots at 90%, never dies."

You can use this as a HP benchmark. You can probably survive with less because you're a Phantom.
As for defense, I'm not sure if more makes a noticeable difference? Not sure.

I remember years ago, legendary/mythic armor phantoms surviving 180/184.

Other things to take into account for survivalibility - your damage, acc, your stolen skills and your skills wheel itself, party, mp (magic guard), hp pots (V7,8,9), and gear/potentials on your gear.

Suggested to have at least 2x or 3x of the touch damage/damage from mobs - depending on your potions (V7,8,9) - Varies per class.

Here's some things to think about:

Are you capping with your current weapon? If no, then the Necro would be an upgrade. But it depends on how much it'll be an upgrade to you. If you're capping, then the Necro isn't worth it without max damage cap. (Do you have at least level 40 armor - for like 200k max cap?
Maxed out max damage cap for hypers?
Guild Attribute - max out damage cap?

With fair trade (100% crit rate skill), you'll be able to hit the bosses with crit res more.

I may be biased and this may not be the 'right answer', but I'd prefer a Necro cane with max damage cap.

With CDD Alts, you'll have multiple attempts within the same time frame instead of having one attempt every 2-3 months.

It is definitely worth investing in 1-2 CDD alts (can cost up to 500M-1B per alt) to start off with and gradually building more with all events that provide Hyper Stats or skills cost reduction (I forget what they're called). I wish someone had taught me this earlier when I started playing. It is 1000% worth the investment and time. GL!

For sure. I think nodes would help/increase your damage more than that investment into CD/BA armor.

It's really up to you. Having 1 or 2 Necro armors has a minimal benefit. When you got like more for the set bonus that'll be good.

And then it's easier to exalt inherits at 40. With 50%s.

Keep in mind, pensair is used primary for training and most effective at ancient (5 set - 10% exp or 7 set for 1,000 atk bonus which is mediocre compared to other mixes) - though if you're getting carried/guild only need your utility and you don't need the damage, pensair is fine.

But I guess it depends on your path - solo or guild/carry content.

You'll be missing out on main stats like - crit dmg (base) on glove and hat - Maybe go 5/7 pensair and 2/7 crit dmg (base) on glove and hat? That's about 28% CD just at level 30 ancient from crit damage base with glove and hat. BUT THESE ARE EXPENSIVE WITH EMBLEMS. VERY.

In addition, you're missing out on crit rate - belt and cape (arguable if you have necro - 100% cit rate)

Pensair (Exp Base)

The good thing is that Pensair - BA emblem would probably sell for cheap since BA on pensair is useless (pensair used for training - BA emblem doesn't work on mobs, only bosses)

Youtube search "maplestory m ark solo guide". You'll need to know Ark's sequence of attack and which one is instant death and when he'll activate it.

one of the major attack he does is "screen crack"

that's like instant death

iframe = invincibility

like if you steal dark sight (1st job skill to steal), it gives you 10s of invincibility and you can attack while it's active. So you'll be wanting to activate this when ark does "screen crack" so you don't die

idk why it's called iframe but it basically means invincibility.

Yeah, take a look at a youtube video. And understand the "cracks" at certain HP.

Rotation before 1st crack is the same. After that, it's kinda randomize - sometimes same attack right after another.

You should try it first and see what happens. You have 138k hp, only thing you need to dodge is the spear/long range attack + iframs for cracks.

Erda Nova to maximimze DPS (immobilizes Ark for 10 seconds) dish out all your dps.

You'll need Cures -> when it debuffs you.

I have never thought about it but just looking at it right now.

Again, with the crit res of bosses, there's a heavier emphasis on crit rate.

The 10% phy damage is juicy but again at higher tier bosses - the boss def / crit res may diminish it.

make sure you do the daily 200 quest.

for orbs and exp.

as you'll need the required "arcane force" for the 200+ maps.

if you have 150% of the required af, you do more damage and benefits.

af120. Have 180 af to reap all the benefits.
