You probably want to max V1 (luck of the draw) and V2 (ace in the hole).

I would personally not put matrix points into freuds wisdom; you should do venom burst or decent skills instead.

You're not close to endgame yet so what I personally would run:

• Dark Sight
• Meditation / Monkey Magic (people say to run Monkey Magic, I personally prefer Meditation, your call really it's not a big deal imo)
• Cross Surge
• Crossbones / Chain Lightning (Crossbones for bossing, CL for mobbing)
• Dark Thirst / Sacrosanctity (Sacro for bossing, Dark Thirst for mobbing, though if you're super lazy you can leave Sacro for mobbing too, that's fine).

Bossing is really up to you since you'll need to figure out what's best for you, as long as you have the necessary skills included. AB you can refer to the guide in #bot-commands but typically it's CL -> Rose -> V2 -> V3

Should I try to save up for a necro (which is months at least) weapon, or getting a cra top and bottom and working on emblem gear to inherit to ancient so I’m tanky be better?

Buffs can be put on pets. Go to the pet menu if you have a set on and you should be able to add buffs for them to cast. The dinos and dogs won't do it, so use some that you get from the growth mission.

Interested in your setup, I'm 216 wondering why you're using Magic Guard over Dark Sight? Is this specifically for 220+ AB survivability? Do you use it for bossing too? I typically run DS because I prefer the iframe, esp for Ark, but I'd be interested to know if I should be running Guard instead.

As for your IM3, why are you running cursed and/or Barrel? Typically I just run Thirst except for specific occasions (bossing, EoS) and wondering when/why you'd be using these over Thirst.

If you can 1 hit mobs with chain, run Chain lightning, tempest, rose Carte (in order). If you can't, use Mille, Tempest, Rose Carte. You can add Penombre/Rapier if you want some more map movement, but I never found it necessary.

Don't worry about hyper stats really until you're a much higher level. Final dmg, pexp, and max dmg are three of the most popular when you get to the point where you can/should start using them.

Don't worry about them besides a few SF and Pexp. I'm 216 and I'm still working on them.

Personally I don't subscribe to the "I need Jaihin" like everyone and their dogs will tell you. That price is pretty cheap in my server, but the choice for the Cane you pick is based on where you want to end up. If you're going to Necro, don't bother with Jaihin. I'd be aiming for a CD emb Utgard to inherit until you're in a place to start looking for/making a necro as 99% of this game is auto-battling and havjng that extra EXP is super worth it. As for if you're planning to Inherit, that Cane is likely worth it (server dependant), but you really shouldn't need the Jaihin Cane for anything but Bossing, so even then I'd consider Utgard to likely be a smarter first investment for unfunded players.

Once your equip is mythic you can't fuse it or rank it up to make it ancient. You need to Mastercraft it. There's two ways to Mastercraft, inherit (30% chance of success), or Necro (2 or 4% chance of success).

Cross surge and cross bones is better than barrel and arrow illusion now due to increased cap. Phantoms want to make sure they cap every single line they have especially v1 & including carte noir.

if you want to excel in easy capping content such as GD ghb use additional line skills (barrel/arrow illusion/frozen orb/inferno aura

Pet buffs allow less skills to manage during a 10 minute boss fight as well as being able to get more hits out of mille 👍

depends on your playstyle. phantom can do anything a team needs, therefore being needed for mid-end game content without having the top tier gear. but a top tier geared phantom is also a different story. just lacks burst, but requires alot of cooldown management to get the most damage out of the class

cadena is above good because of her mobility in AB and all those dmg sources. but i prefer phantom because he could adjust to any situation and play any role, a valuable aspect for an f2p like me. and phantom’s kit(the all-rounder thingy with good dps) is well suited for me so i might be biased when i evaluate other characters. but they definitely are worthy of player’s love!

Try getting trio that has any of these 3:

1. Millie
2. Tempest
3. Blanc/Carte Noir

Millie being the most important one. Don't try to get perfect trios from the get go, just keep opening nodestones until you get one, for now try to focus the most on Millie.

The other 3 (below) aren't currently as useful but since Nexon likes to change the meta for Phantom every couple of months, I think they might still be worth getting.

3. Rose Carte Finale

IM4 might be the most useful one if you use something like Showdown or CL.

This is my current setup

You either do Chain Lightning or Millie. Suggested to use Chain Lightning if you can 1-2 hit.

If you can't 1-2 hit, just use Millie + everything else you have. Replace Chain Lightning with Crossbones (Pirate skill - 25% Phy Dmg I think). Hyperbody is not needed unless you have issues surviving. I'd swap for that monkey magic that benefit the party, and I think it's better than hyperbody. (You have it on, gives hp/mp and some atk buff)

Hyper, I generally use Dk's Hyper, gives FD and Phy Atk (I think) + hp recovery. I have not used that Marksman hyper, I can't comment on the effectiveness. I prefer Dk's hyper, it gives damage + hp recovery per hit.

TLDR: If you 1-2hit, Chain Lightning, remove Millie. And keep everything else.
If you don't 1-2 hit, use Millie. (Replace Chain Lightning with Crossbones) Keep everything else.

For both situations:

1. Replace Hyperbody with Monkey Magic.
2. Use Dk's Hyper

Optional:
If you're strong, you can utilize, class buffs to benefit your party rather than yourself (replacing crossbones and your cross surge)

i dont eat the multiple hits, i avoid them with penombre because penombre is almost instant teleport.

I did MDC > FD > ADI > PDI

But I also was LVL 200 before 5th job was released

Generally speaking do aim to get MDC as third at the latest

Because you might not cap at 200, but the next level you max a hyper stat is 220 and you should deffo be capping by then

The actual skill will be tempest

First vid was released a month before actual patch hit, and therefore was on a test server

So they changed it before it went live

Having said that, it'll probably follow the same path as 5th job where they'll introduce more skills in a later patch and that'll probably be mille

I mean I was just coming from the point of view of the animation time to trigger venom burst, can I do enough Mille dmg to offset it? Assuming both capping at some low cap. I hope Mille dps is large enough so that I don’t need to press yet another button while bossing.

Unless I am not understanding venom burst the skill itself. I’m assuming that using the skill gives you a burst of dmg. Then the venom dmg (passive) is the same whether it’s based on Mille or venom burst itself.

but u can try testing it out, after the attack animation ends, jump over the laser
if im not wrong u can also cancel the attack and get the iframe straight

It's because you're going to replace it.

Replace it with Jaihan - Emblem (Boss Attack or Crit Damage), AND, it's recommended to starforce a weapon to 18 without any scrolls, as it's cheaper (like 2-3m) to repair it if it's broken.

After 18, it's recommended to use the blue scrolls (prevents starforce from decreasing) to 20 - since it's cheap to repair.

Whereas, if you start starforcing at Legendary or higher grade, you're using blue (prevents from decreasing) and brown (prevents breaking)
