We need more hit counts on Beyond Blade, Maha Domain and our V skills

I agree, Aran need more hit counts on Beyond Blade. We're too dependent on Burst damage now and if the bossing drags any longer, we're losing out dps compared to the other classes. I suggest keeping the no. of hit counts for V skills, Maha Domain, and increasing Beyond Blade at the same time by 2 to 3 counts

Also, can we revert our drain back to per hitcount rather than per skill instead, Aran's survivability is quite bad now

Please consider increasing hit count on beyond blade. It's currently 11, in addition we burst during adrenaline only which we need to hit with a certain combo # to activate. We also only have one single target skill "hunters prey" that is 21 lines but we can only use once per adrenaline activation. So I believe a hit count increase on BB would be able to make it a fairer playing field for our class to record a higher dps even without making any other changes to our other skills. We are currently weakest warrior class and while other update rebalances haven't been bad what I think we all agree on is the major flaw has been the exclusion of lines added to our main dps skill. Please help the few of us who still love playing aran

As a current Aran player and knowing many who quit this class because of how far behind this class has gotten, we definitely need a huge buff. I would have similar if not better items than a thief class, and I would deal half the damage a dual blade would do. This is on top of being higher level and having higher arcane symbols.

Please increase the amount of lines our main skill uses. Increasing our jump skill was a nice touch for magnus, but it does not save us or make us relevant in any content whatsoever.

Please please help us become relevant for once.

-please also consider giving us back our invincibility after using hunters prey like we had before. It helps us register higher dps being able to bypass DR for couple seconds

• I don't mind the CD buff that replaced our hp buff much but the hp buff would help our entire team in end game content like ark and future lotus runs and make aran more useful

I agree with rcrazy most of us have great gear and our skill nodes maxed but can't even compete with other classes with worse stats and gears. It disheartening to put in time, money and work to not see the results.

Another aran here. Everything above is accurate.

1. Please add back the original healing. Maybe I'm lazy, but we get beat up when we have aggro (pretty rare being a weaker class, but occasionally happens during burst)
2. Increased lines on BB would go a long way. 2-4 extra lines would get us closer to thief classes
3. HP giving temporary sustained invincibility would be pretty cool. Would also love if this didn't hold for 10 seconds on ab, I don't like switching wheels each night

That's basically all of the skills we have. We're a simple fix, just need like a tiny amount of real love.

P.s. there's like 5 of us left in Scania. A bunch of the major arans have RRd to relevant classes at this point with more planning to in the near future. You won't get a ton of feedback on arans, because there are very few of us left.

Yes totally agreed! Even with skill nodes maxed and very decent gear, we're having same damage with classes that don't have MDC weap. Kinda discouraging at times. 😤

• Better drain skill (Like previous drain)
• Few secs of invinc after casting Hunter's Prey instead of having to hold the skill for invincibility (losing out dps)

Someone smarter than me also mentioned increasing the speed of BB to match the hit speed of other classes could be an additional or alternative way to balance aran.

QoL suggestion(s):

1. Change BB to a press and hold skill, with a decrease in delay between animations.

2. Hit count + dmg line increase is sorely needed.

3. As it stands, Storm of Fear is very inefficient in auto. An improvement could be to have Storm of Fear last it’s entire duration during auto in SF/AF, just as DB’s 170 skill lasts it’s duration even when there aren’t mobs around.

4. Since Arans are sorely dependent on Adrenaline, consider having Maha’s Domain add to hit count on each tick and not just the initial impact. Arans are, after all, connected with Maha.

Arans are seriously one of the most unloved classes, but perhaps these changes could entice more players to join the fray.

I’d imagine the rebalance/rework would have to be significant enough to reinvigorate the Aran class — see DK and Hero remaster.

Let’s be hopeful our concerns are taken seriously because we really do stand to receive some real attention after being neglected for so long. There’s really nothing inherently interesting about our hero class as compared to the others.

Ask yourself this:
Do you want to be better geared than most of ur team but still do one of the worst?

Do you want to not have access to late game content because you are counted as "DPS" but still do less than most of the supports?

Do you want to spend all ur time and money working on ur character to see little if any improvement?

This is Aran late game just so u know..

I have basically all at least level 40-50 necro items. Stupid high mdc, high af PA and I can’t beat a paladin with some mythic gears….
Literally the best items in the game and I can’t do anything. I can’t even get into a lotus team because Aran is just not good enough. If I was any other class I’d be doing so much more dpm.. even bam

cole is right but if u want to do the best u can you should activate it manually, for example, if u are bossing u want to be sure MF is active during the boss fight and not while u are in the waiting room

A solution for this is if u find it too haslesome is to just equip on pets and sit on ur mount until the boss spawns then get off because ur pets do not cast ur buffs while u are on a mount or a chair (chair is risky as i believe u jump off when u get invited whereas u can go on ur mount then tele to waiting room and still be on ur mount)

its very dependant on ur other gears as jewels affect flames, so early game ppl generally aim for exp flames so exp would be ideal, otherwise late game ppl either use ba for ba flames or pd as pd generally give more value since pd is calculated similar to fd and is quite hard to get from other sources

We are a pretty simple class, although you can also build a Type B wheel to prolong using adrenaline burst. This is especially helpful in AB when your combo count is nearing max and adrenaline burst is next up in the rotation.

if you absolutely want just a pair of trinodes, i would say its HPrey instead of MD. MD's dmg is lower than HPrey if you look at the analysis chart. HPrey is worth something now, especially on lotus/Ark, you get the IED %

@warped abyss could we possibly get the devs to look into the inefficiency of Storm of Fear during auto battle? It is rather infuriating that it’s considered a finisher skill, when sometimes it only lasts literally half a second.

I have submitted a ticket a while ago asking the dev team to look into this, but was assured that this was by design. If the problem is tracking when there are no enemies around, then perhaps redesign the skill such that a tornado is cast in place and lasts the full duration while our character is free to roam after.

What’s your team comp? If you lack blockers for Meteor you guys should just blink all the way up so you can save your blocking for tornado. For the tornado fireball you just need two blockers. If you guys are lacking blockers that bad then you can use HP to block but the tornado fireball phase is the best time to dps so you’ll be missing out on a lot of dps

Sadly this whole patch looks like a massive disappointment for us Aran mains

Not only is the v4 extremely underwhelming if the lines are the same as in kmsm which would make it the weakest v4 out of all, it also comes with a stun that really nobody asked for which is also extremely inconvenient because you can’t just randomly stun a boss whenever you feel like it or else you won’t be very popular at bosses.. having to wait for specific times to even use the v4 means the total lines will be even lower than the 600 or so that it’s said to have. And looking at everything else in the “rebalance” section yeah it looks like a bunch of nerfs for us while most other classes get some nice buffs so in the end while we were mediocre dps class at best we will probably be one of if not the worst of all.

I guess it’s more like a debuff for a boss. I did some tests. The curse counter will increase to 6 with or without you hitting. In order to get the 1k+ lines per use, you’ll have to land all hits during this period until the curse disappears.

I’m talking about beyond blade specifically. Adrenaline is a different skill. If the lines and damage of beyond blade stayed the same, you would straight up just do more damage. Lowering the line count is never a good thing. I don’t see a point in the logic that if we buff this skill we need to weaken another. If anything it should be done in 2 patches. Nerfed after verifying that it’s too strong.

fellow aran here. I'm just sending them a ticket everyday to add a toggle for stun for our v4. With stun activated, it will screw up the whole bossing sequence with others especially during HD and Lucid.

So we can only cast straight after pala stun for example or within the 90s non re-application period.

As for BB lines, terribly sad it became 7 and v1 doesn't add to the combo lines already.

There might be someone with a tiny bit faster fingers so could be a bit more lines

I think the main thing that makes people think we are still “weak” is that mdc change

Basically gap grew a ton compared to how it was before

Say I gained 5m mdc after the patch while a friend gained 10m

And the mdc souls also

But overall I do so much more damage

Only thing that still takes a while to get used to is how slowly we stack up adrenaline now

The v4 stun is also manageable since it’s a long cooldown with not the most lines and depending on the boss you are running you can still kind of optimise it to not really “lose out” on damage

Say a lotus is like 5 min if you use it at p1 you still have another usage at p3

You wouldn’t get any more even if you instantly used it as soon as the cooldown came back up

3% physical damage reduction is the defense stat on your play info so it doesn’t effect your PDI at all

Try and limit your trios to 3 slots as long as BB/FA/MD is 60 you’re fine. Hunter’s prey does good still if it’s not lvl 50+ and caps easily. Opening up that slot you can put ds4 when bossing and when you’re auto battling you can do rope life and once you hit 225 you can put in sharp eyes

Or replace sharp eyes for speed infusion but that depends on your stats

Yeeee when you Auto-Battle you can leave them off and use sharp eyes and combat orders but iframes is king so best to have them on at all times and can put them on your pet during AB for buffs

Yeah it’s a good weapon while you work on a necro one. You already inherited it so no more necro but you can chaos it and then abso but those odds are tough. Exalt to 40 mythic and then necro attempts. For sf you can do it at any rank it’s still the same

Final toss for up jump in Magnus and GHB, combat step because it’s faster and has less delay than final charge for movement speed

Up jump helps in floor 43 mu lung too when it does the ground attack and combat step helps to get to the other side faster when it does it slam attack with its arm

It’s a buff overall, but just not buffed greatly compared to the other classes. The BB skill dmg cut back was really unnecessary. Dmg gap between us and other classes was smaller pre patch. Post patch the gap got larger.
