Yes, it is in most servers. The majority of my private friends only servers had it added. You cannot view the bot as a member. The only way to ban it is to use the built in discord commands. You must have permissions for whatever server you are trying to do this on, keep that in mind.

technically it doesnt violate the #📜rules-and-guidelines to have an unauthorized discord bot in the server
it would violate the discord tos if you ran a bot on a standard user account ("self-botting"), but given their partnership is with discord itself i severely doubt it could be considered a tos violation
