Quick explanation: F2P can buy DEW 1s, 3c, and 2R, but can only have one of them in their inventory at a time, and they cost many ingots/tokens. So, they get access to either a heavy, medium or light DEW.
In my opinion, DEW guns like the 1s and 3c have become essential to the gameplay of Day of Dusk. A large majority of active players own atleast one DEW, making this a very prevalent thing. Yet, f2p players are limited in their selection of DEWs, and weapons in general.
So, I propose the following system for F2P DEWs:
Mechanics
- F2P players have access to the more basic DEW weapons, being the 1S, the 3C, and the 2R. The 4HM, 5SS and X-33 are higher tier, and remain gamepass exclusive.
-F2P players can purchase the three DEWs for ingots.
-They can only have ONE of them at a time. So, they cannot have a 1s and a 3C at the same time, and so on. They are limited to just ONE, but they have larger variety.
-If a player purchases a DEW, then purchases a different one, they lose the one they had before.
-If a player owns a DEW through gamepass, it is excluded from these rules, but any that they buy for free are included.
-DEWs would be more expensive, and would take some grinding to obtain, keeping the convenience appeal of gamepasses prevalent.
If standard guns like FAMAS and Remington became free as well, this would make the gun variety and playstyle variety in the game much better.
Pros
F2P has better fighting chance. Access to more playstyles. P2W players remain strong, as they can have more DEWs at once, and have access to the stronger ones, but they are still hard to obtain. More weapon variety, less boring game.
Cons
F2P will have better chances against P2W, which could dissuade people from buying gamepasses. Slightly less profit. Possibly hard to add to the game? Feel free to add and share your thoughts.
