Hi, not sure if this is the right place to ask but quick question. Just selected the pretendo boot instead of Nintendo network one and I’m on my NNID settings now and it’s asking me to make a new or link an ID. Am I safe to do this? Just nervous cuz it says Nintendo network ID settings instead of pretendo (not sure if it’s meant to say that anyway but)

Saw lots of ppl talking about having to format their systems after messing up so I just wanna be careful

Yes. It is still supposed to say Nintendo.

You never have to format your 3DS to use Pretendo; even if it's a console that has been linked to a (normal) NNID, you don't have to do anything about that.

Pretendo has its own account system, PNID, which works similarly to NNIDs.

I got it all sorted out and was able to online play mario kart with my girlfriend thank you guys! Is there anything else I should be wary of doing or is it like completely safe and not possible to get banned or brick my 3DS?
