No matter what I do it always says that the friend code is invalid. I made sure I am on Pretendo and made sure that I added the person’s Pretendo ID instead of Nintendo.

I'm getting this too. The other person swears their friend code is correct, and they were already able to add me. I know pretendo is working because I can use juxt

This is a known issue that the devs are looking into, but it might take some time since they've got a lot to do at the moment with finishing up maintenance
