I'm very confused. The #faq mentions that it's in closed beta and only testers have access to the servers. However, reading some messages on this server, they mention Pretendo being free, others talk about a subscription, and others talk about how only some things work for free and others don't. I'm very confused, the Pretendo website doesn't seem to specify anything. Also, if Pretendo is open to the public only in special occasions, how do I know if the servers are currently open?

beta is paid but regular (public) pretendo is free

beta includes access to beta servers (games that have some multiplayer functionality but are still being developed) such as minecraft for wiiu
