Tried to boot up splatoon and says I need to update I was playing it yesterday and it was working but now I need to update it shows the image then says software could not be updated

Uhhhhhhhhhhh, first time seeing this error, well, might be best to unintall the update, connect to the nintendo network to re-download the update and then try again on pretendo

@eternal peak can't reconnect to Nintendo I tried they shut down the e shop it won't let me get any downloads except for the app store that begins with a n (can't say the name or I will get time out)

Ok first off, delete that image, or else, 2nd of all, the updates are part of the e-shop and should still work even now

Yeah but it won't let me download it from the eShop if I try it gives me same message since it can't connect to the servers because they are shut down

I can still download updates tho, even booted into a stock firmware and still can download it, might be an issue on your end
