This is an extention of a thread i made a few days ago. I've deleted my splatoon installation, and now when I try to open it again it tries to install an update. Now, obviously the servers are down so it cant. But splatoon will not start without it. help????

Switch back to Nintendo Network to install the update

Yes, all download servers (eShop, game update, system updates) are still up for every Nintendo system
Only online play and social features have been shut down

I believe you then need to switch from your PNID to your NNID
