MK8 Communication error occured.

This happens when I joina game in worldwide. then say game is in spectating mode as soon as i enter spectating mode i can see all the different players and change my view with B. but, all the players are stiff and not moving at all like none of the players are moving. then after 1 minute it says connection error occured

similarly during race lakitu NEVER says 3 2 1 he just stands there for 1 minute and then error.

Fire Hopping, to be more specific, is when you land on the ground slightly sideways (most often done by just hopping and turning the car mid-air), while also in a boost of some kind, whether it's a miniturbo, trick boost, or shroom boost

You start to gain extra speed once you land with said boost. This was patched in Deluxe

This boost you get from firehopping is what I call "Desync" speed. This desync speed will quickly fade away under most circumstances, except if you're demon sliding, which drastically slows the rate of which this happens.

Demon sliding is pointless if you don't have desync speed to preserve after a firehop

unless you're doing demon sliding on certain downhill sections due to how gravity works, but this goes into a bit more of the nitty gritty tech of this version of the game

And again, this is all patched out in Deluxe, though technically desync speed still exists in Deluxe, but it's hard capped

The actual most important thing is learning the driving tech

You can be on the worst build in the game and still be faster than someone who's using the best build in the game just by using at least the basic level tech in the game

Racing lines are good too of course

i feel like i can make a line, but then i dont just because i either drifted too wide or tried to drift to short

im not amazing at mk7, but in drifting it is a noticable difference for me

If you can get good at:
-Soft Drifting
-Basic Firehopping
-Keeping good racing lines
-Minimize steering outside of a drift (if you need to steer, just do a very short drift). Steering while going straight drastically reduces speed.
-Be thoughtful with your item usage.

Then you can probably start getting better results

It's not super high level at that point, but it'll be a good starting ground
