Hello, this is an exercise from Art of Composing workouts and I find this sound familiar and wonder what is this genre/style/technique called so I can learn more about it? Mainly I mean those staccato chords where the 1 is split with 3,5 in eight notes?

it is a fairly common accompaniment technique across many genres (polka, jazz, waltz if you om-pah-pah, etc).
