Any of you running vpns?
Oh didn't see you answering so quick, and no no VPN running on my or his end.
send the master file that can be found here "%userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\10 Chambers Collective\GTFO"
are all of these when your friend tries to join?
hm I don't know I just opened this folder the first time now
do I delete all of them or something
send these two here
no you send them here, they just contain logs of what happened and what couldve gone wrong
We ar swapping between hosting and joining neither works
every time another way to invite or join the other one
We both hear the sound when someone tries to join but we see noone
lemme host a lobby real quick and see if any of you can join
ok
hm
bottom right says waiting for host
living in a country with a big firewall?
so no
do you have a vpn you could try with?
thos couple years ago it did work fine no troubles
did you move houses/swap internet between that time?
yeah i changed internet but other games work fine
other P2P games?
don't have a vpn sadly just a tailscale setup but I did turn that off
dont think so
I am not sure what makes a game peer to peer
make sure ports 3478, 4379 and 4380 are open in your router
uhhhh hm ok let me check if I find a way to do that
the games arent ran on dedicated servers essentially, valheim uses servers to process and send information (as far as i saw)
ah ok I see
I am not sure if I can open those ports like at all because my router interface has no option for that :/
seems odd
we have some wierd thinks in austria no fixed public IP for example 🙂
sadly .....
hard for gaming
we need special software that works like a vpn for that
actually that might work
I will try setting this up with my friend I did play that way some other game some time ago too
from what ive read static public ip addresses arent used that much for individual homes
did you find any infos on why I couldn't connect to you in your files?
no, im not great at reading the logs tbf
ah ok I see
BoosterImplantManager: Tried to sync set booster implants for a player Karesh that is NOT slotted.
This appears again and again every time trying to join any clue what that could mean?
ERROR : STEAM > k_EP2PSessionErrorTimeout 4 The connection timed out because the target user didn't respond, perhaps they aren't calling AcceptP2PSessionWithUser. Corporate firewalls can also block this(NAT traversal is not firewall traversal), make sure that UDP ports 3478, 4379, and 4380 are open in an outbound direction.
This error also happened
"18:49:38.075 - DEBUG : SNet > LukStar joined lobby!
18:49:38.075 - SNet_SessionHub : OnJoinedLobby False LukStar False -1" IS this how it should happen?
seems like it wants you to enable the ports in your router, whats your router called? ill see if i can find some way to open them
It's the old waiting for master bug
has the directions on how to fix it
yea this is what i was going off
sorry I am back. This is my router: h153-381 I already checked for online documentation
