We tried everything multiple times when I open a lobby and he tries to join I get a sound notification but noone joins then we are waiting in a lobby for the same rundown but can not start as we are alone but waiting for host. it feels like it won't connect properly or whatever.

finite bloom
#

sage shuttle
#

are all of these when your friend tries to join?

finite bloom
#

#

We ar swapping between hosting and joining neither works

#

every time another way to invite or join the other one

#

We both hear the sound when someone tries to join but we see noone

sage shuttle
#

lemme host a lobby real quick and see if any of you can join

finite bloom
#

ok

#

finite bloom
#

I did join now

#

same thing with you

sage shuttle
#

hm

finite bloom
#

bottom right says waiting for host

sage shuttle
#

living in a country with a big firewall?

finite bloom
#

austria

#

so don'T think so

sage shuttle
#

so no

finite bloom
#

I did play with friends a couple years ago

#

this is a fresh install from 2 days ago

sage shuttle
#

do you have a vpn you could try with?

finite bloom
#

thos couple years ago it did work fine no troubles

sage shuttle
#

did you move houses/swap internet between that time?

finite bloom
#

yeah i changed internet but other games work fine

sage shuttle
#

finite bloom

I am not sure what makes a game peer to peer

sage shuttle
#

make sure ports 3478, 4379 and 4380 are open in your router

finite bloom
#

uhhhh hm ok let me check if I find a way to do that

sage shuttle
finite bloom
#

ah ok I see

#

I am not sure if I can open those ports like at all because my router interface has no option for that :/

sage shuttle
#

seems odd

finite bloom
#

we have some wierd thinks in austria no fixed public IP for example 🙂

#

sadly .....

#

hard for gaming

#

we need special software that works like a vpn for that

#

actually that might work

#

I will try setting this up with my friend I did play that way some other game some time ago too

sage shuttle
finite bloom
#

did you find any infos on why I couldn't connect to you in your files?

sage shuttle
#

no, im not great at reading the logs tbf

finite bloom
#

ah ok I see

#

BoosterImplantManager: Tried to sync set booster implants for a player Karesh that is NOT slotted.

#

This appears again and again every time trying to join any clue what that could mean?

#

ERROR : STEAM > k_EP2PSessionErrorTimeout 4 The connection timed out because the target user didn't respond, perhaps they aren't calling AcceptP2PSessionWithUser. Corporate firewalls can also block this(NAT traversal is not firewall traversal), make sure that UDP ports 3478, 4379, and 4380 are open in an outbound direction.

#

This error also happened

#

"18:49:38.075 - DEBUG : SNet > LukStar joined lobby!
18:49:38.075 - SNet_SessionHub : OnJoinedLobby False LukStar False -1" IS this how it should happen?

sage shuttle
#

seems like it wants you to enable the ports in your router, whats your router called? ill see if i can find some way to open them

minor hill
#

has the directions on how to fix it
