game freeze and crash on start

I wanted to play GTFO after some time of being inactive and every time i start up the game it freezes in the loading screen and then it crashes i tried redownloading it couple times but it doesnt help and sometimes after it crashes it shows me this massage

You can try disabling steam overlay for the game, restart steam, and try running it again.
