OS question

I recently built a new computer and decided to use a Linux OS instead of Windows 11 and I have not been able to play GTFO. Was the game made to only run on Windows?

People have had issues with running GTFO on Linux, some reports that using proton version 9.x works for them (lemme fact check this though)

Is proton an add on that I can just install

Proton is something steam developed for games to run on Linux whilst originally being intended for windows (or something along those lines)

Im not sure how to install it though so I’d prolly google it

Proton yes is the compatibility layer for Linux. You can use it to run games on Linux that don't have native build
