Does it happen when you turn your camera by a lot?
If so, set your DPI to something at or under 2000
polling rate, not dpi.
And without a video it's hard to diagnose nothing.
Fast camera movements with high polling rate introduce big freezes.

I am having trouble getting the laggy bits that tended to happen at 8k polling rate

at minimum, the executable itself got patched to not have the exposed command line args that allowed for ACE

@frosty surge if you can provide short clip of the lag happening or description of what you were trying to do (both in game and irl, i.e. move mouse too fast) that'd help out us with pinpointing your issue
