#Low FPS on RX580

I have very low FPS (12-24) on my PC in the game. My system specs: OS Arch Linux KDE, RAM 16GB, GPU RX580 4GB, CPU i5-14600KF. Playing with the default Proton hotfix, other games work fine. Also, this is very strange, because earlier I had stable 60 fps in the game, but the game often ate all my memory on descend and often crashed or was killed by os kernel. I don't know what has changed, maybe after updating drivers of graphic card it hadn't stopped eating all my ram but fps went to 10-24

All bets are off on Linux. Sometimes changing your version of Proton in Steam fixes the game not using the right drivers.
The game will always (afaik) stutter when dropping.
Also try swapping to Fullscreen Window or Exclusive Fullscreen. < fixes fps issue in Windows 11

Yesterday I have installed those fix, but it seems that I did something wrong on installation, so it didn't help. Today I will try again with memoryLeakFix and also will try what you say

@empty ore setting to Proton Hotfix Exeperimental fixes the problem with low FPS, but now it often crashing, seems because of extermly high ram consumption. On R8 the first level is crashing if I play with discord on background, GTFO uses 95+% of all memory on descend

it’s a memory-hungry game, especially on modded. much of the assets are stored in ram

I know, but I played on a PC with 8 GB DDR3 RAM, and it had never crashed

Also DDR3 doesn’t work with 14th gen Intel?

Neat.
Again, Linux is a wrench in the spanners.
I played most of the game with 8gb ram, a browser window open and Discord. I did notice crashing when Alt Tabbing.
The game will use all memory, even 32gb (correct me) on descent.
Try downgrading Proton to another, earlier, version.
And try playing in Exclusive Fullscreen or Fullscreen Windowed (whichever has better perf.) and NEVER TAB OUT.

If I knew what to look for, I’d ask for logs. (or some linux event viewer logs)

Game shouldn’t use all of the ram on descent, when I drop without mods it’s max 6gb although I’m on windows
