As shown in the clip, I get heavy stuttering during fast camera turns, but it's smooth when panning slowly.
Tried restarting game/PC - no fix.
Pure vanilla install (no mods/tweaks).
This seems started randomly - no clue how to reproduce or avoid it. Running on:RX 7800 XT, Ryzen 5 7500F, 32GB RAM.It shouldn't choke this hard.
Any chance this is another AMD driver issue?
#Camera stuttering during gameplay

Just feels like your hardware can't render things fast enough so it stutters
Could be wrong though
@hard fox should have a better idea
Gut feeling says it's not hardware-related though. If my PC ran like this constantly, I would've refunded ages ago.I‘v been playing GTFO for nearly a month with mostly smooth performance until now. While I'd occasionally get frame drops (like when Shadow hordes spawn), I never had this level of camera stutter.🥲
Hm
Tru might have some clues as to what might be causing things of this nature, but I doubt he'll be able to answer much
@snow musk I don't know if you're still around these days, but would you have any idea what would cause this sort of issue?
I usually suffer these occassional since I'm on a laptop, so I can't be of much help.
Appreciate the suggestions!
I'll gonna try a clean reinstall of both the game and GPU drivers.Hope this works.
UPDATE: Found the issue - it's mouse settings. Not sure if anyone here uses this brand, but its driver has an adjustable polling rate feature. If your mouse exceeds 2000Hz (using 4000/8000 modes shown in pic), it can make GTFO very laggy. Can't confirm if this is GTFO's issue or the mouse's fault, but I'm leaning toward the game struggling with input devices running over 2000Hz.
If you're having similar stutters and see this setting in your mouse software just turn it off.Haven't tested other games yet, but this might affect all Unity games? IDK
huh weird
Welp good to know
@quiet kernel Would this be a good addition to the bug wiki as a bug?
would need more people with high polled mice to test and confirm

Apparently this is a unity issue, just leaving this here for the record
(from modded server)
Reproduction steps: 1. Open new Unity Project 2. Enter Play Mode 3. In Game View, rapidly move mouse around, with its polling set to...
I reported it somewhere once, ye the high polling rates just cause that bad "tearing" effect if you turn around. Regardless of mice.
