Hello! I haven't ben able to find a solution or if anyone shares my problem, but if my reload gets interrupted in any way, whether intentionally reload cancelling or accidentally switching, my flashlight gets shifted to a new position, messing up the centered flashlight shine as well as creting random light streaks from the point of the gun. The only fix I have found is fully reloading the gun again through the entire animation, but that obviously wastes bullets, makes noise, and is inconvenient in fights where I actually need the centered light. I have messed with all graphic and gameplay settings I could think of, uninstalled and freshly installed the game, even another device, but the problem still persists. I've attached a few examples of a few different guns with and without the bug, and although it may not seem that bad, as a primarily solo player, shifted flashluights have ended way more than a few of my runs. Thanks!
#Flashlight Shifting After Interrupted Reload

note, the shifted lights get way worse the longer they shine down a hallway, these images are relatively close to a wall so it isn't nearly as noticeable
reloading doesnt waste ur mag
it doesnt make noise either
the only thing the reload affects is that u have more bullets in ur mag and some downtime

what?
have you tried changing your first person inertia amount in gameplay settings?
"but that obviously wastes bullets, makes noise, and is inconvenient in fights"
wait nvm I've seen that
but that obviously wastes bullets, makes noise, and is inconvenient in fights where I actually need the centered light.
the flashlight is a part of the gun. so if you’re idling holding it or sprinting, it will change bc the gun’s position changes
if you set 1st person inertia to 0 it’s pretty close to centered while you’re running or moving
Are there any mods for this, or is this base game?
base game
it’s in gameplay settings
sorry for the late response, i've been busy as of late, but i have tampered with first person inertia to no avail, and it isn't just the hell revo being off center- when cancelling a reload, EVERY gun goes off center, not just sprinting (See images attached for comparisons). These problems arise from the moment I drop, so it's not just an idle problem/
i'm going to try and get a video so you can better see what I mean
basically, what i mean is taht to fix it after a fresh reload, i need to shoot at least one bullet to reload again to center the flashlight again, sorry for the confusion, im not the best at explaining lmao
@timber thunder Don't know if you've touched on this side of the game before, but is this an intended feature or smth that's just stuck around
(Sorry for the ping, for the life of me I still don't remember which one of the devs handled what)
I tried my best to show a clip with the problem, but due to stupid file size limits, this is as long as i can get, if you want any more examples or specific movements/visuals just @ me
its all guns, not just hell revo, but it is the easiest to see on hel revo
running any mods?
weirdge
None
what’re your specs, specifically monitor and display resolution + fov?
max FOV (I've altered fov and it seems to have an effect no matter what I use), 1440p 16x9
it also isn't affected by changing my resolution
anyone have any more ideas? i'm still stumped and it's infuriating
What about ur gpu and drivers
AMD 6650xt, drivers are up to date
CPU- Amd Ryzen 5700X, 32gb ram as well
in between the start of the post and now, ive updated by drivers and the problem still persists
the problem still exists even when I change what device i'm playing on so I don't think it's a hardware thing
(Same problem, completely different device from my main pc)
i also don't know if it's related, but when dropping, my body isn't locked into the drop machine thing at the beginning. Once again, don't know if it's normal or related, but it seems out of place to me as well and im just trying to find anything that helps)
even after 3 reinstalls, i just dont know what to do
That one is regular
got it, thanks
I think that's for some reason happening only to hel revo
I'll recheck other guns from initial msg
Okay hel revo apparently been acting up that way @proud lagoon @sinful nimbus
Altho there's no offset when you aim and with guns flashlight always moving when you run so it wasn't something that was catching my eye whatsoever.
And there's handful amount of times I recall hipfiring the helrevo
Unless you hyper specifically fixate on it, in moment-to-moment gameplay it's barely noticable (or if you have ocd)
huh
i'm surprised tru didn't find it first
(like genuinely that seems like something he'd find)
I basically only hip fire hell revo and its all i see when I use it. The stupid flashlight shift keeps me from picking it completely whenever I want to use it! I noticed it with hel revo and now it is all i can see whenever i play. Whenever I finish an alarm or something of the sorts, I always cycle through my flashlights and reload to make sure it isn't all messed up :(
i've messed with all of my settings and I just can't figure out what it is
hel revo has pen, you do want to sit down and find sightlines to shoot multiple enemies per single shot, as well as it is slightly precision based weapon(as in you have to aim for occy crit), it shouldn't be exclusively fired hip fire lmao
when I play, I mainly play solo, and that means most of the time, there's just everything in my face and theyre close enough to me that i still get all the the pen from it. I do ADS with it, just when they're far enough away that it would matter
i guess "basically only" was a bit of an exaggeration, i still do ads a lot with it, i just hip fire enough that i always notice it
