Can't join friend | GTFO | Page 1

I've recently got the game and I've been trying to play with my friend but every time I try to join nothing happens, it just says waiting on master and joining session on the bottom right. At one point I joined a 3rd friend completely fine but the 2nd friend couldn't join him. Same thing happened to me when he joined the 2nd friend joined first.
At most a black screen pops up with the 4 or sometimes 3 invite texts that appear when waiting to deploy then back to the menu. Although every time my 2nd friend tries to join me he can see the bots and a invisible gun. I've tried restarting molder, restarting steam, reinstalling the game, changing download regions, clearing steam download cache, attempting to mess with DNS, and restarting pc. But no progress... I also don't have that Asus thing.

I sadly have more hours on this game trying to fix it then playing it lol. Here's what I think is my logs.

Are you using a vpn?

If you are, turn that off before you do anything, that also applies to your friends as well cause their vpns can cause problems for you as well

one of u 2 has problems with either upnp or dns/vpn/qos stuff (asus gamefirst installed, steam not a high-prio game?) ..

it might be enuff to have a hamachi instance installed but not running, the extra network card can screw this up (seen it a few times)

one of u 2 might have a secondary ip address on internet network card, seen it also ~5 times

#

also both players have to be running 34855 bought from steam. 🙂

windows settings -> network & internet -> Advanced network settings -> find internet connection, "more adapter options", double click on ipv4

sometimes someone goes in there and puts something funni in there to access another network in the same lan or whatevs

then gtfo stops working

also, u can try switch the internet connection from private to public or vice versa to test, if that helps then it was a firewall issue

also if the 4th joins and everything breaks, can the 4th guy try disconnect internet, plugin a usb-tether or wifi-hotspot via phone and join up, does it still break game for everyone?

(gtfo works fine with a 4g spot/tether, including voice chat)

so I got a fix for myself...

I have a gigabyte motherboard and it has a cFosSpeed for faster connection and its auto ticked.
it turns out I have to untick that everytime I want to join someone in gtfo then it works
