Hi All, I have been having Desync issues when hosting and would like help diagnosing. Hosting is basically a nogo for me. Bad connection happens for other players only during reactor so I suspect it's something on my system. I have tried everything I can find in the discord to fix but I don’t know what to do now.

1. 9800 X3D/32GB Ram/1080Ti - FPS ~100. - I did have a 4770k CPU and was having issues and I was advised it was CPU related due to desync happening when more enemies on screen, however I have built a completely new system (aside from GPU) this is still happening and I have good FPS performance on my end.
2. I have FTTP 910mb Vodaphone UK internet. I have great connection generally aside from hosting GTFO (During reactor only is bad)
    a. I have tested UPnP enabled and disabled
    b. I have forwarded ports following this guide https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/2EA8-4D75-DA21-31EB
    c. https://test-ipv6.com/ passes 9/10 - the only one that fails is test if ISP uses IPv6
3. Logs state I am receiving bad packets from other players, and they get the same from me? Thanks to @idle moat and @median gale for helping me test and sending their logs
 4. No issues when i join other games as client (Aside from GTFO GTFOing)

I'm close to just giving up not sure what else to try

Noticed the screenshots were tiny - i attempted to show ping from Modlist mod by Localia. Spiked to 999 and was ~150 ish at start of mission (Players were mix of EU / RUS / USA)

i'm fairly certain there's someone who's doing a vpn or a qos, screwing network up for all

definitely go with upnp every time, saves you a lot of hassle with port forwards

thanks for the reply I appracite the help. i have re-enabled upnp - assuming i can remove the manual port forwarding as it doesnt help with upnp enabled?

I dont have a VPN or QoS. I dont even have settings for QoS on my router (standard from ISP), assuming this isnt part of windows?. I found did this test to test latency under load https://www.waveform.com/tools/bufferbloat?test-id=4f868438-d10f-49c6-b27b-f2245b459cb9
I am thinking of looking into getting a better router after results, currently just using ISP router (Vodaphone UK)

I will try to disable this and test again

no difference - I still may look at a new router though to help

I thought i had found a fix... found this post talking about NET send packet errors in CS and adjusting windows QoS packet scheduler fixed it for him. https://www.overclockers.com/forums/threads/net_sendpacket-error-wsaeintr.91845/

Started a game and a few people joined and the connection was great we got 7 waves in with no issue i was amazed! It was all going too well...

but then when a 4th joined suddenly we had massive Desync again 😦

I'm starting to think its an internet issue that GTFO is sensitive too, although i can host DRG which is also P2P on steam with low pings for all but i think GTFO is just whack with bad netcode for whatever reason.

I have started a Broadband quality monitor and will report back.

game was with randoms, ive sadly come to the conclusion that I cant host and have a good experience for all in the lobby. All other games are fine but cant figure out why GTFO has an issue. thankyou for your help anyway i appreciate it. i have tried flushing dns and may test again.
