Just bought the game after playing it a year ago while it was free, wanted to try it out but every time the game starts rendering anything 3D, the FPS just go down to like 3 per second. No secondary gpu and the igpu is deactivated, tried different settings and it's all the same, the FPS are normal while in the main menu, but even just loading up the character from the matchmaking screen makes the FPS go down to avernus. Already verified files and it's the only game I have any issues with. What can I do to fix this?
#Extremely low FPS on RTX 4060 ti and i7 9700K with 32gb RAM

Just reinstalled the game on my system NVME 'cause it's faster than the SATA SSD I use for gaming but there was no improvement whatsoever.
My RAM is DDR4 2666mhz btw
@mellow vault @wanton cargo You two might be able to help them better than I can
Let me take a look
For starters, open the game and keep task manager on, switch tab to performance, then GPU, let's see if it actually tries to use your GPU
Since, in your screenshot, you can see GPU 0% usage
I did that and the gpu status was always low but I can try again in a few
It bumped a little sometimes to like 5 o 10 percent but no more
i would perhaps suggest gpu driver reinstall, clean option
Are you sure you connected the monitor to the GPU out?
Yep! The iGPU is also disabled so it can't even run
what about other games?
No issues on other games, just finished TLOU part 1 with no issues on high/ultra settings
hmm there was a #known-issues or a #bug-reporting case about making sure windows uses the preferred graphics blah blah
with that setting wrong, gtfo does software render
not even igpu
Can I see it? I checked graphic settings in Windows and set the preferred (and only available) output to my GPU in high perf
This probably won't work, but you can try changing the launch options if this game is on steam:
and can try use task manager to prioritise resources on the GTFO game but I believe there's some bigger problem to it.
@tribal star It actually solved the issue, looks like it was indeed software rendering and this solved it, given now the CPU workload is pretty much halved and GPU usage went up as well as perf, now I get a stable 144hz at max settings
Thanks to you all! @mellow vault @wanton cargo @last cliff @tribal star
It's hirnukuono, not hiruandon
hihihihihi i'm glad u got it solved, good one voiceless!
Fixed, thank you and sorry 😦
