#Friends PC keeps having a memory leak issue related to GTFO where it's consuming more than 10GB

Does this happen after multiple runs or within a single mission run?
You think it's the mem leak thing?
It shouldn't be the mem leak thing, it doesn't crash someone's pc
It's not a mem leak thing, the game actually uses 11GB's of VRAM upon bootup if you run it at 1440p Very High.
I'm also curious if this happens only after multiple runs, cause the game tends to bug out after multiple runs anyways (and probably keeps this info in ram?), requiring you to restart it.
Oh no that's the mem leak thing
The spagetti code this game has is... palpable
the VRAM thing I mentioned isn't related to that, that's just how much vram the game uses at the settings I'm running right now.
It's only using 3.8GB's of RAM tho.
Most of the other stuff I think doesn't effect the RAM consump?
Usually I let sleepo deal with these types of stuff, he's more familiar with hardware
I haven't actually bothered looking how much RAM or VRAM the game uses overtime tbh, never bothered with it
No, the game bugging out after hours/multiple runs usually is related to the mem leak thing
that's why I asked this question towards the guy
looking at his specs I'm assuming the guy is using integrated graphics which I mean to be honest..not the greatest for this game.
switch to 720p and hope it functions 😎
That or tune settings to very low
Void's old optim guide could work
If it's unity crashing then try the #known-issues fix

Hey, sorry I’m just now seeing this. Been a busy weekend and my buddy is buying an extra 16GB of ram to try to fix it. It happens upon startup every time, even in the menu screens.
I’ll see if I can get him to run it on 720p. Bro is not the most tech savvy guy I know. I’ve only recently managed to convince him to get a PC and even then he only got a gaming laptop. And since he’s far away it’s hard to coach him on troubleshooting. Spent like 4 hours with him sharing his screen but yeah, def a frustrating issue especially since the game had been working perfectly fine on the settings before.
You could always tell him to join the server and we can walk him through instead
I'm fine with the leapfrogging, but there's always the latency that makes things harder to work around
