me and my friend are unable to play together, when she hosts we drop infinitely until one of us dc's, when i host it wont even let us get that far. i hit initiate drop and it straight up does nothing. i click it again. does nothing. but when shes not in my lobby it works. i can play with bots, she can also play with bots. but when we are together it doesnt work

can u try a 4g/5g wifi or usb tether, disconnect normal internet and try playing via phone's connection? if it works then, u got a network issue

I have found that I can't play the game with a VPN otherwise an infinite loading screen happens.
