Playing GTF0, the tutorial and r1 are fine but other levels will crash the pc. The most common crash is at the end of the level when you are extracted the screen you get at 100% extraction and during the level right after a wave. I tried lowering the settings, updating my drivers, cleaning my pc, making it cool but no success yet. The first time it crashed the pc was abnormally hot. Checking the event log in pc is level critical, Kernel-Power 41 (63) Keyword (70368744177664),(2). I havent had any issues playing any other game. The pc has 32 gig ram, the graphic card is a NVIDIA geforce RTX 3060. Im not fully sure what the issue is atm, but if anyone has had a similar experience I would love advice!!!
#PC Turns Off and Crashes on GTFO semi randomly

keyword any other games. every time. ๐ .. usually full shutdown crashes are voltage related. powersupply good fan speed, rated at xxx w ?
Thank you for the response! Im not very smart when it comes to computers, so i dont fully follow what you mean by ""rated at xxx w"" It does have 6 fans, but maybe i have too much plugged into my power bar, I can split it up have my 2 monitors on 1 outlet and my pc on a sperate wall socket.
if your psu is rated 500 watts and u run a 4080, jamie hyneman would point a finger immediately
but.... magic words, "other games"
shouldnt affect just gtfo
Only other thing of note i can think of is when running GTFO and trouble shooting during the drop sequence the task manager said gtfo jumped to over 90% system memory for a second then went to normal numbers. But i will try the power supply and see if it works, will be able to try in the next 3 days when i have time to do a full run and will let you know if you were spot on
yeh unity on beeg levels can be intense.. hope u find a solution
just to confirm do you have a dx diag file
instructions in #bug-reporting
Sorry for late follow up
Download speed is 170 upload is 130, pc info attached, the files that were created after the crash
no worries, i didnt zip the files but here they are
Still think it's a power supply issue
If you unplug your PC and open the case, you can probably find a way to read the tag on the PSU/Power Supply Unit
I think the PC was simply hot because it tried to do a lot of work
And it drew too much power
IF it is a power supply unit issue, then plugging stuff to different sockets will not solve anything. It's the power supply itself that would be unable to reliably supply your PC with that much power, whatever your wall socket actually can give
How would i identify a power supply issue? What info am i looking for? And if that is the case what are the fixes?
The tag would give you the model/power rating (amount of watts) of your psu
If it's too low for your gpu then nothing you can do except get a psu that is actually suited to your machine
Lowering resolution/settings might help
I did set everything to low, based on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tCTLBKtvA4g&t=185s to see if it would work. Looking inside the PC. It says 600W assuming im looking at the power supply

if you use dx11 it should work
yeah full shutoff sounds like it's a psu issue, a 600w rated psu can go bad or supply a finicky 12v line to gpu, especially when hot.. i recommend visually inspect gpu fans and psu fans when running a "hot" game
also make sure u have no nvidia control panel settings set, some override over there can cause issues, especially if the override is only for a certain app
I hate to contribute to a "too many cooks" situation, but I'd recommend running some tests with https://www.ocbase.com/occt. If it's a hardware issue then one of the stability tests in OCCT will likely fail, and then you'll know which part needs attention.
No no, stress testing is amazing idea and contribution to the thread, you're right

Doesn't look right. Reddit user was only getting game crashes, not full system crashes.
vaguely i remember someone else having the same as op
We did have one guy that did sometime ago around the discord
i got a little flash of vague dejavu
didnt someone crash and burn with a 75hz monitor? force to 60, problem gone?
Well i did the stress test and no issues happened. However this was after I swapped the cords around. So no issues so far got through a game and no crashes

I guess an update the issues persisted, took to a repair place they couldnt figure it out, replaced the power supply no issues for 2 weeks. I had a 600w Smart +80 power supply switched to a different brand and to a 1200w
