Hi - I'm not good at this sort of stuff so I'll get to the meat and potatoes.
I convinced a few friends to play GTFO with me, and I got everyone the game. We haven't decided on a time to play yet, but I suppose that's a good thing, because I tried to test the game today, and... it crashes. Before it even opens. I sometimes will get a flash of a black screen, but then it reverts to the unity crash. I checked in task manager - it never even takes up more than 20% of my 32 gigs of undedicated ram + 8 gigs of dedicated 3D ram (nothing fancy, an NVIDIA Quadro M2200, which does outclass the required GeForce 1030), so I'm a little concerned.
I tried looking for settings to adjust in the game files, such as a config or settings file that I could use to manually reduce the resolution size - which usually helps in bigger games. Couldn't find any.
I followed the steps of clearing the local and local low log caches along with deleting and reinstalling the game, still nothing.
My computer is able to handle the Dead Space Remake, so I'm perplexed why GTFO is having such trouble.
If anyone could help out, or direct me to figuring out where I can adjust the settings, please let me know. Thank you!

Need your logs
Hi, we would need your logs in order to troubleshoot your issue, the instructions are in https://discord.com/channels/408196129470152705/633424549425184778
The most recent ones should be ok
Thank you - unfortunately they don't exist? I'm not sure why. (None of these end with CLIENT.txt or MASTER.txt, and the unity file is empty)
The ones at the top called GTFO.2024.09.22.02.17.55 are your client.txt. and master.txt. files
You just needed to check them in properties tab
ok !
They're just too long you can't see them
they all just say "NICKNAME NET STATUS"
Yep
Post them
That means something is terribly wrong
If the normal logs don't show anything I might even need to look at the player log
heres all 4 zipped
Yep I need to see the player log
#known-issues message
Also try doing what this says, it might help you
Tried these first, but i can certainly try again
@near nest Any ideas?
C:/Users/DELL/AppData/Local/Temp/10 Chambers Collective/GTFO/Crashes
It says there's a crash report here
Does it say why you crash?
Nope
Have you tried verifying your files?
There's a lot of missing textures
And shaders
Welp I don't know what's going on
Just wait for a little while until someone else come around I suppose
Most of them know more than I do
okay! i really appreciate your help regardless :) even if i have to wait til i get a new pc to play the game i dont mind
All I see is a lot of shader errors
M2200 is a maxwell-era Nvidia card, it's pretty, pretty old. It also has 4Gb of Vram not 8. I assume you did update your video drivers, right?
The minimum requirement for the game are pretty outdated too: there's people with 3090 that have stutters on R7D1, it's just badly optimized. I'd see to get the drivers up to date.
Dead Space Remake is made on Frostbite IIRC which is perhaps more stable than whatever version of Unity GTFO is built in.
I'll make sure my drivers are up to date
as for hving 8 gigs of ram, I double checked my specs - i have 2 m2200 installed; both running correctly according to the internal diagnostic tool
updating the drivers worked!! the mouse input is a bit slow but i am going to adjust the sensitivity in settings :)
the graphics run well too, esp when windowed
I'm having the same issue but I don't know which driver to update to fix the issue
have you tried the thing in #known-issues first?
unity crashes happen for loads of reasons
If the fix doesn't work, we'll need your log files, instructions are in #bug-reporting
thanks I coudn't find the known issue page so I didn't know there was a thing for this already I'm sorry for wasting your time
