#Beginners join the E levels

Tired of developers, at least finish matchmaking!
Previously, before the 8th rundown, people could choose a certain level and there was a choice in the form of "Any unlocked level", why is this not now in the global search? Now any beginner chooses "Any difficult" and gets to the C-D-E levels without any difficulty. This is a real problem, pay attention to it! I wrote to Celle about my offer, but please raise it to the top.
My suggestion is to leave the global selection of players and add to it the one that was earlier, when the player needed a certain level (say R2D2), and he was looking specifically for it. Some players will be able to complete what they need, while others will join them when they search for any level.
In my opinion, this is a BRILLIANT idea, but why won't the developers do it? The answer is simple - they made a lazy discord server that performs EXACTLY the same functionality that matchmaking could, but not everyone is comfortable using it.

p.s. Since you have added a button to the game, so bring it to mind:

  • Language filters? They don't work.
  • Communication filter? does not work.

p.s. I'm not talking about other bugs, but at least do this important functionality to the end.

ermmm this is not a technical issue

And what then, if not technical? This is a written script in unity (C#) that can be fixed, which option would you consider it then? This is a technical problem when people who do not have access to the level get on it.

A server browser is superfluous. I have already written my proposal, I repeat:
Combine the old player search with the new one so that people from the global selection can join those who need to complete a certain level. Previously, when there was only 1 rundown, people could search for Any A (B,C,D,E) level, or, for example, A1(A2, A3 etc.). Now this cannot be done using in-game methods.
I've been looking for players at E levels for an hour now, and somehow I get to D level, or I'm joined by people who just bought the game and didn't even complete the training, literally. And this is a problem for all players, since beginners are scared off by deeper levels, and experienced ones are scared off by the fact that instead of the same experienced players, well, or at least who closed the D levels, they come across people who do not know the game itself.

#

Just 2 matchmaking buttons:

  1. In the rundown selection menu, people are looking for any levels there.
  2. In the rundown they chose, where people need, say, R1B1.

Both sides get success - the first are looking for any level and get any level, the second are looking for a team for R1B1 and get it.

#

Developers don't even need to work for this, just add the old functionality that was before R8. I repeat, add, not replace, as it was after R8, when people asked to ADD a button, not replace it.

#

Read the comments on the patches in the steam, when alternative (updated) levels began to come out and stopped removing the old ones, people asked to add a global search button to find at least someone. The developers listened, but that's it... we have what we have.

either way discord LFG would be and is the best way to join n share lobbies even if the i game matchmaking was good and had moderation and a lobby list etc etc

#

since discord just came first, and matchmaking second, that alone does it

golden ridge
#

Just let this sit here for now, I think it going anywhere else would make things worse.

dire pond
#

eh i mean
last thing, discord isn't different from using matchmaking in a lot of places apart the fact u need an account

#

for the rest u could be mute or not have a mic or not use Q ingame or not specify ur preferences or not

#

etc

They would have a lot more constructive thoughts than most people around here do.

My English level is good, but it's still bad, and I'm still learning it a little bit and therefore using translators...

#

And the developers themselves will not be able to do this at all? They just need to connect 2 functions (methods) in one class and set a condition like:

Button button;
if (menu == RundownSelection) button = GlobalMatchmaker (new functionality);
else if (menu == LevelSelection) button = LevelMatchmaker (old functionality);

I don't see any particular problems, but the community says it's "very difficult!"

#

There are delegates in C# that could well be used here...

# dire pond yea but the amount of joke bad or just impossible suggestions were a lot

I'm literally offering an idea that will work positively for everyone, but will anyone listen to me? I am not an influential person, but just a player who likes this game and absolutely does not understand how the developers released the project without such obvious things. Wherever you look, there are convenient selections of players who are in demand, but here, for some reason, the developers decided not to stand out for the better. Instead of initially making it possible to make friends in the game (so that profiles can be opened by clicking on a nickname, for example), they decided to make the game harder even in this regard. Why the rest of the players are "content with what they have" is unclear, because with the existing bugs, the game is still not at the level of version 1.0.
During the week of the game, I heard more than once about how players' performance drops simply because. I'm sitting on an RX7800xt, i9 9900kf with 32gb ram, but from time to time, 10 minutes after I've already gone down, the fps drops to 50-60 from a stable 120.
Also, the day before yesterday, I ran into the problem of a hung terminal twice and spent 40 minutes of game time twice.
As a player, I absolutely do not understand why experienced developers started with secondary tasks, such as creating (updating) levels, for example, when the basis of the game is still raw and needs to be finalized. But I can't do anything about it, now we live in a period when developers release games just to raise money and throw it, rather than bring it to mind and do it right. This is the fashion now.

do u think people don't care about the bugs

mm it's just gonna stay like that now either way cause gtfo development cycle ended so

Did you know that you can already start criticizing developers in full? After all, DoW will come out exactly the same. Do you want to check it out? Go ahead, do nothing, praise their bugs, praise their laziness, and by the time the game is released, you will get an identical result.
I care, that's why I'm here, but somehow I don't see people unhappy with bugs, in my opinion everyone is licking one place for them.

#

I've already talked about this in a previous thread, but I'll repeat it.
10c is like "Nothing" - everyone thought that experienced developers would do a tremendous job, the game would come out like a polished car, but this is not the case. When they said they wouldn't do anything else after the last patch, they became like "Nothing" with their phones.
I repeat, keep kissing their ass, their further games will be the same. You're not allowed to criticize, right? Do you like unfinished games? Good luck.

Here is an example of a person who also justifies developers. Instead of putting in-game search in the first place, as all normal developers do, they made a discord server where the search settings are exactly the same as they could be inside the game. Yes, of course, my friend, I would take advantage of this, but you can't guess that it may not be convenient for everyone. To register something in the chat so that, perhaps, someone would join. A brilliant idea. Do you know how it should be? I clicked on the search for players in the game, selected the search filter and it does everything for you, and the outcome is absolutely identical.
Once again, keep kissing their ass. Discord server should be an alternative, not the main option for searching for players. If the developers were not too lazy, they would have done so.

# astral gull Here is an example of a person who also justifies developers. Instead of putting...

I think it's less of him "kissing up to the dev's ass" and more of "I've accepted that they won't change any other features/update them since they're done with the game".

There's been numerous annoucements that GTFO is at the end of its update cycle and other forum posts/suggestions about revamping the matchmaking system. It's probably just not gonna happen. So it's not "we don't agree" but "we've come to accept".

#

MM was just never a priority in the first place.

Yes, I understand everything, they have completed work on GTFO, but if we start criticizing, doing something, then there is hope that they can listen. Wouldn't you like them to fix the old bugs? FPS drawdowns are still present, graphics settings do not affect almost anything.
I've already noticed that you "accepted" the developers' decision, but don't you realize that the next game will have the same roots? If you care, then try to write Celle, as I did, make it clear that the game is not finished enough to absolutely throw it, that it needs to be finished for real.

#

If you look at this whole community in discord, then, in fact, you didn't do anything. You are content with what you have when the developers, at that time, had both the money and the strength to fix all the flaws, but then everyone was silent. Or, if I'm wrong, then Celle is letting us down, because it doesn't pass information to developers. There are only 2 options, which one will you choose?

#

Just because Calle passes information to the devs doesn't mean the devs will do it.

#

Currently this topic is a redundant one that has been mentioned multiple times

astral gull

I'm not talking about how MM adds 1 player each...

You could even push to have some sort of a mod to change matchmaking, at least proving that it could be done and that it could be incorporated into the game.

marsh mulch
# astral gull Yes, I understand everything, they have completed work on GTFO, but if we start ...

I hope you do realize that 10CC has been shit on for quite some time by many people in the community due to really slow responses/nonexistent bug fixes. Veteran players don't have any hope whatsoever for DoW when it comes to game content; it's literally memed on.

Sure, I would love bugs + performance patches to come out, and so do a lot of other people. It's been mentioned numerous times in this channel (not just MM). It's redundant and not gonna happen - it's been years.

Unfortunately, you're just late and barking up the wrong tree.
