Playing on Crossover but game keeps freezing

So I am playing GTFO on crossover but my game keeps freezing on startup. How do I deal with this.

might be difficult to narrow anything down without more information, knowing your general system specs (CPU, GPU, RAM) might help with pointing in the right direction, the game is a bit harsh to run

i have played it before and its worked well, its just i cant get pass the menu screen cuz it freezes.

I use M1 cpu with 16 gigs of ram

Does it freeze only on startup?

Like the menu, when the different rundowns start appearing, the game freezes sometimes. Its like 50/50 and very inconsistent

Well, the menus are prone to doing that, joining into lobbies and rundown screen does have a lot of traffic when they happen so it can happen. If it doesn't happen in gameplay it's fine

So then I just gotta retry and hope that it works?

Is it making your system crash or die?

idk if its both, the game just freezes

and then im stuck there

so i gotta force quit

Do you have one of the log files for when you freeze? If not, you can follow the guidelines in #bug-reporting to get one

You'll need one to see whether or not it's something that's the game's fault

@fallow eagle do i look at steam logs or gtfo logs. Only steam seems to have a logs folder
