My friends can't see my lobby,
yesterday with my friends we were going through R6D1 level and since we were 7 hours late with the passage it was decided to leave it until tomorrow, my friends logged out of the lobby, checked if they could see it to connect the next day, everything was ok.
The next day none of my friends can see my lobby, I'm standing in the last location and can't invite them. All would be fine but we lost 7 hours on this level and can't just start over.

Wait you left the game and the lobby open for 7 hours?
That doesn't matter, Steam does maintenance sometimes, and when it does (or even just your internet having an hiccup) the lobby gets dead, basically
And what's the solution to the problem ?
Check if you can copy the lobby ID (Esc, settings, should be there) if it isn't avaiable then that happened
None
i cant copy lobby id
Then during those 7 hours something happened, either on Steam's end or your internet
I mean, it took us seven hours to get through that level.
Fuck, 7 hours of my life wasted
That's... a bit worrying. The very most a level should/can take is around 2 hours.
Great excuse not to get into this game anymore
And those are usually specifically annoying levels (r5d1). Without skipping reactor, r6d1 can feel a bit long but 7 hours is a lot tbh
Man, we are streamers it's normal for us, it's not worth discussing it, it's not important at all, in this dialog it's only important to solve the problem, because we have the final stage to go through
Are there people here to help with technical problems ?
We're here, but we are a very 'global' community, so we're not all awake at the same time
If you haven't noticed already, it's all mainly community members helping now.
Naturally I didn't notice, no one tried to help me
Okay, I'll be waiting
Man, you better not write anything, I just need technical support
What happened to you was during the 7 hours that you had the game open, the lobby crashed. That's what it looks like according to your pause menu lobby screen. (When there isn't a 'rundown' button or a 'lobby' button still on your lobby screen, the lobby crashed.)
7 hours is the time we passed the level before the final stage, this is not the time that the lobby was open, the time could have been longer.
Your explanation of what happened was clear to me from the first time, it doesn't help me in any way, so I don't need you to keep explaining it to me, I just need a solution to the current problem.

For what? What do you mean exactly
There's not a word in the video about my problem
Guys, I don't understand why you can't just ignore this discussion if you don't know the solution ?
why are you telling me a bunch of unnecessary information?
Dude's lobby is broken - I'll throw him a video about optimizing the game, holy shit, that'll help him fix the lobby and not lose 7 hours of his life.
You left the game open overnight?
Your lobby can't be fixed, it crashed somewhere along the line, you will HAVE to lose the progress. Restart it and don't leave the lobby open for that long next time. I'm sorry for your loss.
Usually you should leave games open overnight, especially not GTFO
Leaving your game open (GTFO) for long periods of time causes really massive issues
Memory leak is a very prominent bug that occurs
It breaks lobbies, makes you not be able to interact with things in game or even settings as well
He already knows that, he just wants a solution
He DIDN’T know that; neither of you pointed him in the right direction nor even mentioned the implications of letting the game run for so long
Oh ok I'm sorry
Y’all misunderstood the initial message: he played the level for 7 hours, then kept it on, which means that the game has been open no less than 7 hours. We can properly assume that he left it on overnight since “his friends got off” and “next day”
And that would definitely cause game issues just because the amount of time the game has been open
@cerulean helm I would recommend that you restart your game every 2-3 hours, 3 hours max. This way you don’t get memory leak. And I would recommend not leaving the game on overnight. Memory leak can cause a lot of issues, most of them unfixable (as mentioned earlier). The only way to fix a lobby (and if it is caused by memory leak), is to restart your game. There is no other work around
man, if there's no solution, leave the discussion empty. The first dude made it clear to me. You just gave me a bunch of unnecessary text, chill.
That IS the solution?
The only fix to memory leak (if your lobby is affected by it, which it probably is) that exists is to restart the game
