'Controlled Responce' Achievement Bugged, Not Unlocking

Ran R1B1 solo, all other player slots were Locked, so no bots.

Main Weapon: Shelling S49
Special: Shelling Arid 5

After numerous attempts and finally a successful run, no steam achievement unlocked.

I had a similar issue then switched to Mastaba R66 revolver as secondary then got it.

ok, will confirm, i just did it again with the Mastaba R66 and it unlocked for me, so i guess the Shelling Arid 5 high caliber pistol doesnt count for some reason?

High caliber should count that is what I used

strange, i 100% confirm i did this with high caliber ytd and didnt unlock, for whatever reason

I know that if someone tries to join the lobby even if it is locked it still invalidates the achievement so maybe thats what it was and it was just coincidence that you were using HCP. Other than that not sure

Try verifying game cache, then shaffling your loadout around randomly before getting back to pistols.

This was advice given to another person having the same issue
