#Unable to play multiplayer/Host

Hello, I used to love playing this game but in the last couple of months every time I try to play with my friends the multiplayer function will not work. It doesn't matter who I try to play with or who hosts. Either no one can actually enter the lobby or when we all finally DO get in the lobby the game doesn't let us initiate drop. I really want to be able to play this game again. Help please,

Anyone running a VPN? How is everyone's internet speeds? If the host is on a slow connection, that will sometimes cause a problem where no one can join the lobby.

Sorry for the late reply I have been at work. We all tried validating game files, no mods, no VPNs but we all live like a block from each other. One of my friends has half decent internet but he isn't the one hosting I am and I have good connection/speed

No it does not 😦 even when we don't include the person with semi bad internet it won't let us drop

but you can get into the lobby?

Yes, we get into the lobby (Eventually, sometimes it takes multiple tries or there will randomly be two of the same person and it messes everything up) but when we try to initiate drop nothing happens. Eventually after like 10 minutes it unreadys everyone else in th elobby and just sends the host into the starting cutscene by themselves. Then the drop last infinetely

Testing with someone who is literally in the same hous eon the same internet with me and it still will not let us drop

Can you drop by yourself into a level? Can everyone drop by themselves into a level? If one person can't drop by themselves that's a pretty good indicator that something's wrong with their connection. Also, what are the hardware specs on everyones computer? (CPU, memory, GPU, etc)

Hey, just read through this thread, you could also attach your log file from
C:\Users \ <name>\AppData\LocalLow\10 Chambers Collective\GTFO\GTFO.<date>_<YourSteamName>_Master (if hosting) or _Client (if joining a lobby).txt

Also I would check firewalls as something may have changed if you are using windows defender like some updates to it reset its firewall settings who knows. From the log you send we might get more info as to whats happening.

Yeah because I replaced some numbers, names etc that are custom to your steam account name and date of time playing. Do this:

  1. In windows search type run
  2. Paste this into the field: %appdata%, it will open C:\users\AppData\Roaming
  3. Go back a folder so you are in AppData
  4. Go into \LocalLow\10 Chambers\GTFO
  5. Search for the latest log based on the date, or try playing again as it generates a new log dated with today's time

It's also possible that after \AppData\ you'll see \LocalLow\ instead of \Roaming. If so, you just go straight to LocalLow, then to \10Chambers.
