I've been trying to join my friends lobby for about an hour and can't. When I accept the invite, use the lobby code, or directly join from the rundown it opens a black screen and the lobby button on the top of the screen appears but after about ten seconds it kicks me back to the rundown. We both have turned off firewalls and I have been running it both normally and in administrator mode but nothing seems to work. Every now and then it works but i don't want to try for half an hour to join each time. In the bottom right it says waiting for master and it says joining session then they both disappear. Would appreciate some help thanks.

Have your friend check if the other player slots are set to bot only, they should be set to players or bots. Had the same thing happen to me once for this reason, might be something else tho

(I'm his friend) I have two slots for players only and 1 for bot
On the off chance he get's in my lobby or vice versa, there is always another issue
Sometimes the game is really buggy and sometimes we can't even start the game

#known-issues asus gamefirst? vpn? can u try mobile 4g/5g hotspot or usb-tether? if it works there, u might have a problem with either upnp or port forwards..
all symptoms sound like network problems, usually vpn related...

It's working right this second but it took an hour to get it to work

a quality of service software where u can give more bandwidth to iptv or voip than other software.. usually people have to add steam as high-prio for gtfo to work.. if u dont have it, no need to do anything

sounds very weird.. if its on / off then one of your internet companies might have an attack happening and they are capping udp traffic (which is gtfo networking)
tether/hotspot for one of you if it breaks.. gtfo doesnt require much band and even survives medium latency well

We both have spectrum I'm not sure if there is an attack happening.
But we can try that if the problem continues. Thanks for the tips.
