Is there any way to increase fps, before the alt r6 update i was playing with 40 fps, now i only have 20 fps

Your best bet currently is to lower down your graphics settings. Ever since the concurrent releases of ALT:// rundowns, each successive rundown lowers performance. Probably has something to do with GTFO being really unoptimized; each rundown added whilst still not being optimized causes a lot of issues

Nothing really you can do then, unless you have it installed on a HDD, which then I would say to switch it to an SSD, but installing games on an SSD, especially multiplayer ones, is already a standard norm

#

Could upgrade your rig, but obviously that's not the solution that is open to everyone

You can try frame-buffer, set it to 10
Latency will be significant, but fps might go to comfort values

#

and CPU culling to high

# lusty basin and CPU culling to high

You do NOT want to set CPU culling to high, you always want your GPU to take all the load since you want games to rely on resources from the GPU and not the CPU

#

If you haven't done so already, always set it to low

GPU will be working on 10 frames to buffer

#

also we can't tell what's specs

#

Even with lower end cards you still want to rely on your GPU

#

Introducing latency just makes input terrible, like playing on GeForce Now

#

That was just a horrible experience

culling workload is not what you think it is, it's not like a setting to render objects

random cairn
#

That's how GTFO devs built their optimizer with Unity

#

The reason why it's so unoptimized is because of all the items needed to build each individual item in a tile

#

The culling system is fine, it's just that there is a poor link between what they actually thought how it would work and what actually was produced as an object in-game

#

That's why we made LowSpec

#

Vsync off, everything low, I heard setting your target framerate to 61 helps

#

Lowspec should help with 1% lows as well

#

Other games that have a culling load doesn't work the same as GTFO, GTFO is just a special case of bad optimization

It's QoL, so doesn't break the rules

#

I am not sure if time updated it to include the fix

#

But you'll have to edit the config files to adjust the texture

#

If it Bepinex throws an error, I can just show you how to fix it

#

Just shoot me a DM

#

Here's a preview of what it looks like on the lowest of the low settings: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5JsXkFxDek

I am looking for my first clear.

You can adjust how low you can get, I just put mine to the lowest since I enjoy it and I get stable frames

versed bobcat
#

so

#

how do i install it?

random cairn
#

You're gonna have to install R2modman

#

Pretty sure that's the most concise version instead of typing it all out here

#

And then you just install lowspec from R2modman

#

If still can't figure it out we can hop in VC and I can just guide you through it

#

oke

versed bobcat
#

its still 20 fps but it sometime jump up to 25fps

random cairn
#

Yea it should make it more stable and hopefully give a slight boost

#

It's most noticible when turning

#

1% lows go down real low in vanilla GTFO

If it makes you feel better I'm on a 3070ti with low framerate on some levels
