When I host a lobby I never have an issue speaking with everyone before we drop, but once we're in-game my mic is suddenly much quieter. Is this an issue with discord or the game? Not sure what to do.

I can't exactly remember, but trying going into your sound settings, opening your microphone properties and disabling the "Let applications take exclusive control of this device" option
