whenever my girlfriend tries to host I cannot see her ready, and whenever she tries to initiate a cage drop the button goes up when hold clicked like normal, but goes back to zero and doesn't do anything. Whenever she tries to join my game we are stuck loading forever on the drop screen thingy. We have both tried restarting out computers and uninstalling and reinstalling GTFO.

are either of u running asus gamefirst or other quality of service software? .. could one of u try playing with a hotspot or usb tether 4g/5g, see if it works then?
(yours or friends router might have upnp problems, or disabled entirely, or one of u might have a modem doing NAT and behind it a router doing NAT again, kills gtfo networking, lobby works but nothing much more will)

We tried checking the task manager for anything else running and couldn’t find anything, the hotspot is a good idea and we will try it.

some asus computers come with a network suite, including gamefirst, there u have to set steam as a high prio game, otherwise problems..
