#R5C1 Enemy Full Room Respawn

Today my friend and I created a lobby together with 2 bots, and attempted R5C1. We had tried a couple times before without running into this bug, but the final game we played is when it happened. After the first security door in the very beginning, that big room opens up with the two scouts and a bunch of other enemies. For this attempt with the bug issue we decided to clear out the entire room so we could freely run around for the security scan to the door on the right hand side that contained the power cell.

After clearing the room we made our way through that new zone to retrieve the battery, after we dispose of enemies in that zone we get the power cell and head back to that big main room again. Thinking since we cleared the room, we weren't being quiet, and had flashlights on. Upon reaching the entry of the main room we see all of the enemies (minus the scouts) had respawned in the exact same position as their original spawn. We accidentally immediately alerted them, we ran back to where we came, dropped the power cell and managed to survive that. We pick up the power cell and head back, and AGAIN they had spawned in the same places as before.

We didn't alert them this time and only took out a couple to insert the powercell and make it to one of the other zones. We died in the other zone so we never made it back to the main room to see if it happened again, but it seemed like if our group lost LoS to the main room, that the entire main room would respawn with enemies. Hopefully this is just a fluke and look forward to hearing from you.

Unfortunately it's an intended game mechanic introduced in R5 called respawn zone. The cocoons of the ceiling in that zone is an indicator.

it also happens on R5A1 A2 and many other levels, includin some of R7 like B3 and E1

oh wow so thats what those are for, would a way to mitigate that just have someone stay in the main room?

yeah, they spawn when the team is 2 rooms aways, i think if someone just stays there they dont spawn
