I would check your task bar to see what your performance is at and then any heavy programs running in the background.
Also check what you have the quality set too.
Make sure your system is clean, dust can make it slow down and cause problems where components aren't able to perform as needed.
Sometimes it could just be that your components aren't able to keep up with the game anymore. Like they are outdated or old.
One big thing to check is your CPU usage. If it's at 85% or above you will want a new CPU. Just means the game has too much stuff running in the background for the CPU to keep up with.
If it's GPU not keeping up then I can help but if it's CPU then i guess pray to god? switch to Linux gaming. Most CPU nowadays, even like sub $100 ones can get very decent framerate in GTFO so do check your task manager
