we had already explored every inch of the map hoping it would fix this but it didnt we had gone through only the needed places before to get to the extract when we finally got there there was a giant in the room we sniped it but even before going into the room we didnt see the extract circle appear.

It is silly that two turbines can spawn in the same zone when only one is key. Also can cause an audio bug when you have both active, but yes, that IS the level design.
Check you have the correct turbine once you reach that point.

We had our audio bug out twice when doing that, became suddenly loud then quiet, eventually broke. Mind you, this was back at the alt release, may have been fixed.
