#AMD - Driver time out & Event log stating GTFO.exe & UnityPlayer.dll were faulty

This is an intermittent issue while playing the game.

I've followed the steps in 3 other posts for the same issue with no luck.

Here is the event viewer application log:

I'm also receiving this error which may be the cause as it happens right before the error:

The description for Event ID 2 from source AMD_ANR_BG_PROC cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

Updates: I have done the following steps in this order:

  1. Started windows in a "clean mode" This is where you disable every service & startup application that isn't microsoft
  2. Booted pc into safe mode & did the following:
    - Used the DDU tool & removed all nividia drivers from the pc
    - Rebooted
    - Booted back into safe mode
    - Used the DDU tool & removed all AMD drivers from the pc
    - Rebooted
    - Installed the adrenalin amd software where it installed the AMD software & drivers
  3. Removed GTFO using Revo Uninstaller & reinstalled GTFO

Here is my full spec's & drivers/version of every item

  1. CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D
  2. BIOS Version: American Megatrends Inc. 2423, 8/10/2021
  3. Motherboard: ROG Strix B550-F Gaming
  4. RAM: 32 GB 4 sticks of DDR4 Corsair Vengeance Pro 3200 Hz (Bios is overclocking ram to 3200 hz)
  5. Storage: Samsung 860 EVO 1 TB

Still no update on this. Is there going to be a fix for this? I litterally can't play the game anymore

believe it or not, this is usually cpu instability

#

try running prime95 or aida64 stress tests

#

run them for at least half an hour and see if they report errors

I’ve been plagued by these issues as well and rerunning my curve optimiser fixed it

exception c0000005 is access violation I believe, but in the case of these applications I believe it’s a segmentation fault caused by a cpu rounding error
